Update Four: 620AD

In Iberia a new tribe of people under a man by the name of Brazeiro arises among the people to unite the people under one Monarchy. The Portugese develop into the nation of Portugal. As they expand south the encounter the Iberians of the Iberian mountains, Grenada.

Around South Europe major attacks of the Huns and Thracians terrorize the people. One of the natons spared is Illyricum. They continue to search for water to feed their people’s thirst and by expanding they find it. Though there was one problem, the transportation of the water. Years later sinse research has been started before the discovery a new invention recovered from an old library of the Roman Civilizations came out the Aqueducts. Now they were able to transport water without hassle. The population grew at a faster pace.

In Macedonia, King Phillip took the Hun threat seriously and paid them 1 gold every 30 years to save themselves from terrorization. The Macedonians also take many of the Thracian camps though take no money sinse they only carry their gold in sacks on their waist. The conquest of Thracia has increased the training and morale of the troops and the happiness of the people.

In England the Britons build a new war machine called the Knights. This new cavalry is very powerful against the un-guarded Anglo-Saxon Horsemen. Though the Knights are lightly armored with new iron they are very powerful and very costly. Though the battles against the Anglos-Saxons did not go well without a tactic against their clever strategies.

In Greece the Athenians win stunning battles over the Spartans though find themselves at a decisive battle at Sparta as we speak. The city still is undecided on who it belongs to. Both sides lose troops.

In Spain the Spaniards this time really defend their lands from the Catalans, though surprisingly the Basques arise in Southern France and Northern Catalan and start a war with Catalonia. Relief and victory for Spain aroused.

The Byzantines, as rich as they are, raise their taxes angering many peasants and lower class people. They start to rebbell and many Legionaries retire. The Loyalty of the people dropped tremendously. The Philistines and Huns also attack Byzantine from both fronts killing many people and sinking many ships.

The Papacy becomes overwhelmingly rich.

The fight against the Anglo-Saxons was still a stalemate, but the newly accquired knights would help turn the tide. Richard felt that one last huge battle would be enough to wipe out the Anglo-Saxons if he used the right strategy. The need for more gold was also relavent so Richard pressed his men to capture more cities. He had his eye on the one to the west, the city of Birmingham. So he had them expand west.

Briton Orders

increase number of knights once
have legions and spearmen take field against Angol-Saxons, but have arhcers shoot them from higher ground, then have knights on horses flank them from behind to mow them down
expand west and try to capture Birmingham
continue to put 20% of gold into tech of catapaults

OOC: I think i should be able to get more knights for 4 gold, something like 40 or 50 per 4 gold

Also one question in the next update can you add towns/citys in northern africa and the rest of the world. Because im getting to the stage were I will be in need of land and will most likely sail accross the straits. Any towns in northern africa shown would be great
Thanks

amirsan, as the map gets filled will you expand it to maybe Asia and Africa as well? Maybe the gigantic world map plexus made?

The Macedons had gained much land and they were still expanding. King Philip had saved his people from the Huns and the Thracians were only a minor threat. But they still threatened the western border. King Philip gathered his armys and prepared to conquest of the Thracians. He was going to use most of his army against the barbarians and only few soldiers would protect the settler, who would settle towards the unknown city to the south west.

Orders:
-attack the Thracians west of me with 500legionairs, 1500spearmen and 1000archers
-expand to the city south-west with the rest of the men
-pay 8g for researching
-pay 1g to the Huns
-bank 2g

ok.

ooc:
@Death, yeah, I thought it was too expensive. I will change something now. ;)
@Azale, darn, I wish you would have taken France, but Egypt is ok. Your orders are good, I'm glad you understand them, I hope you have fun. :)
@Human Slaughter, dont worry, expand and you will find more cities. There are many cities around you, you just have to look. If you need one fast then build one.
@Azale about the map, this game does not end at the end of Middle Ages. The whole world will be revealed sooner or later, little by little. And there will soon be the age of Imperialism, with many small nations around the world for you to conquer. :)
