Well, all I can say is that I am glad it was Poly instead of us. ;) It appears that CGN and Poly are catching grief from GWT about the recent "unit teleportation" measure that earned Poly CGN's two canal cities so that CGN could get its units back to the capital.

At this point, there are several solutions being discussed, one of which is to go back three turns and replay the game from the point that CGN pillaged it own road in preparation for the city switch. I haven't posted anything in the thread yet, but am planning to shortly as I am really against re-playing three turns.

Here is a link to the UN Discussion Thread. And consider yourself warned. The thread is less than 24 hours old and already has 86 posts!!

I will try to read between the rhetoric and give you updates as they arrive. GWT is holding the save until this matter is resolved.

Wow - that was an, umm, interesting read. Yeah, interesting.

I did admire the courage of APO to accuse a certain team/individual of playing loose with the odds.

Well, it was a lot to read, but I picked up some lines from Lucky stating that if we were to send them accepted peace ingame, they would also accept.

Just to make it clear: This would not mean that we have signed a peace, just that we have peace ingame to avoid WW.

This does not solve the WW problem for apolyton, and I don't know how it will end after this diplomatic crisis is solved in the UN. But if we get on with this game, I would like to do this.

Very interesting read indeed... it shows all the animosity between the teams at various situations that occured during the game.

Hehe, Better them than us:rolleyes:. I really did see this coming, and that's why I opposed the move so much.

But instead of being my usual jackass self and gloating about my impeccable foresight, I don't really know that we should. Getting out of war would help us majorly though...

Uhm, I'm not really interested in reading all that, but how does it guarantee 'peace' with GCA?

Personaly I think that they wont beg for peace to us.

As much as I want peace, I also want that GCA Galley out of our lake. Poly is within two turns of getting rid of it for good.

Do we want to make peace with GCA and leave the dirty work to Apolyton? I think that part of the reason Lucky is being so accomodating is that he knows that Galley is still there, and on its last legs.

Then we'll wait until the galley is sunk and send accepted peace to GCA.

Veera: Lucky said they would accept peace with us if we asked for it. That would only mean in-game peace though, so we would still be at war, but without the WW.

Wonder what will happen... I think it would be quite boring to play the 3 turns again, but who knows what's gonna happen?

This is the last part of a response by CGN.
What are GWT and GCA prepared to give in return? We have acted in accordance with the rules of this game, in addition, our actions had prior approval of the game administrator and as such, are legal actions and we have the option to stand by them. CGN is willing to be flexible, but we will not be flexible while others are unyielding.
I'd like to use this thread as a discussion on how we feel about the issues raised, and our response.

I'm inclined to agree with CGN on this. For better or worse, a variety of exploits have been used in this fame, including against us. Personally, I consider the razing of a city combined with a peace request to be exploitive - it's an attempt to hide relevant information through a pure game mechanic.

Teleportation has been previously ruled legal. Do we now ban it because some Civs that previously used it are seeing it used against them? Do we press for a clause allowing us (CFC) to use this exploit once, at a time of our choosing?

You have some good points there, Ravensfire. I agree with what you said, we should really ask what we get in return and why they were allowed to teleport the troops there...

I sure hope the game doesn't collapse because of this.

Well are we going to make peace with GCA soon? I think we should to make our milatary stonger.

I beleve we should build a stronger military. Incase GC decides to do something stupid again.

I also do not see anyone from our team posting there.

We should stay out of MOST of this argueing stuff, and we shouldn't let our pressence be too well known. A story with propaganda is fine (I know some including myself wanted that), though we shouldn't engage in direct arguement to take pressure off of our shoulders for once.

With that said, I thinking about rejecting my win in Foreign Affirs in the last election, because I believe the Ministry should be run by others and not just myself. Of course, I would be taking the stapler with me.

CG, I would advise against it. We need production and science to advance our position through trade.

Emp... wouldn't having peace be more of a reason to not build up our military.

Seriously now, if this gets us peace then maybe we should do it.

I think focusing on building military will collapse us like it did the USSR. We can't hope to compete with Apolytan, and we won't have to with those on the other continent.
