For the Star Wars Mod the religions are alignments like Light Side Light Nuetral Nuetral Dark Nuetral and Dark Side
Would Anyone be offended if I skinned a religion movie(because we cannot create nifs yet) to be dark side even though I do not consider any religion to be evil

The movies are .BIKs right? Can't we just find a .BIK converter program and convert an MPEG into that?

Just the religious movies are nifs, though it shouldn't be to hard to make a Bik and call it in the onReligionFounded python function instead of the existing nif.

If I remember right the nif and bik players pass to the same function but they pass a variable to say if it is a wonder movie, religious movie or... (there is some 3rd option I dont remember). So I assume you could change the call and pass the info for a Bik if you wanted.

And I reskinned the religious movie, including putting a bloody pentagram on the chest of the budda guy statue. So if anyone's offended you can always just point them at Fall from Heaven and they will probably leave you alone to go beat up on me.

since pics can replace nifs for the leaderheads I would assume that it can be done similarly for the religion movies

That's a good idea Roden. We shall try that. By the way, we could use a good Python scripter for the mod. Civmansam and I know almost nothing about it (I know Java so I could learn it).

If you're so worried about it, here's a solution: use the same religion movie. Rename the videos so that, for example, the Budhism clip comes up for both Light Side and Dark Side.
