The MMORPG sequel to two awesome games, KotOR and KotOR II. The amount of (claimed) rpg material in it is mind-blowing. The trailer was pretty cool too.

Any opinions on how well it'll turn out?

Either it's gonna be the best t MMO in the world or it's gonna be the laughing stock of all gamers.

It does. I have no idea how long until it comes out though.

Like a past poster said, it might be a laughing stock though. It looks REALLY cool, but I would hate to look forward to it so much and then be really dissappointed.

I'm also predicting that it'll be really expensive.

Isint Star Wars: The Old Republic a roleplaying game like Fallout 3?

I have no experience with it.

Basically, a huge part of the game is what dialoge options you choose, with everything you say influencing the path you take through the game. Hypothetically, you could play the same game three times and still feel different, depending on whether your a nice guy, kill everyone you meet, etc. Not to mention every class having a unique storyline.

EDIT: Perhaps I should clairfy. In KotOR II, if you were nice to the old lady you met at the beginning, you would earn light side points. If you were mean, you earned dark side points. These effected what powerd you could use how easily and what class you would later be. You could also influence your party, unlocking new storyline options, or other direct benefits.

In The old republic, I'm not sure if light side/dark side still exist. I don't think you can have a "good" bounty hunter, (your class determines your alignment) but influence on your comrades is expanded, with different options really influencing how your game goes.

If I had to make a comparison it'd be more with WoW/EQ/etc than Fallout 3 seeing as it's an MMO and not a singleplayer game. ;)

Gah! Stop comparing it to WoW!

The creators in their development releases state how they plan to add a fourth piller to your MMO eperience: story. The goal of all the voice acting and completely different storylines is to immerse you in your character.

Of course, they also say they want to completely remove grinding from their MMO, like thats gonna happen. :crazyeye:
