Start Tutorial from windows

Sure
1. Go to your Civilization 4 folder
2. Open the '_Civ4Config' file in Notepad, or a similar text editor
3. Scroll down to the line that says:
Mod = 0
and change it to
Mod = Mods\Tutorial
4. Save the _Civ4Config file, and start the game.

once you wanna start the game without the tutorial, just change the line back to
Mod = 0
save, and restart.
But note, there must be something wrong since the game doesn't restart properly as it should, so if you've already tried reinstalling the game, please post if you get any error messages after the game tries to restart, or alternately, while you're in the _Civ4Config file, change the line
LoggingEnabled = 0
to
LoggingEnabled = 1
and then post the logs you get in the 'Logs' folder here so we can try to figure out why it's not working. There may be more crashes in store for you, if that doesn't get solved.
