Chieftain
I don't know if this question has already been asked/answered, so I apologize if it has. I'm just wondering whether or not there's a way to load the Earth scenarios (either the huge or the regular but preferably the huge) and have your civilization start in the "right" spots? Like, if you pick the English, have the English start where London would be today, the Americans where Washington, DC would be, the French where Paris would be, etc.?
At first, I thought this had to do with the culturally linked starting locations but unfortunately it doesn't. I found out that the culturally linked is just to put your civilization as close as possible to the civilizations which have been historically near you (e.g. if you choose France then it will try to place you close to like England and Germany, etc. so if England and Germany are located in South America then France would be down there, too -- but none of them would be in Europe).
I remember on Civ2 for the Macintosh it could do this. Like I'd always pick the English and the game would always start me out in the area where London would be. So, I was just wondering, does anyone know of a way to fix the starting locations?
Thanks!
PS I'm running Civ3 on OS X.
