Everything was going great. The Danes and the Dutch had paid reparations and recognized Poland's claim over Germany, restoring peace. Poland's objective has been accomplished, and the economy had grown immensely to boot! Parades were held all over the Imperium and Emperor James I was happy to be at the one in Warsaw. A statue of Emperor Eric II, James's grandfather, had been erected in front of the Palace. Also, the famine in the south had finally ended with the huge amounts of relief convoys that flooded into the southern provinces.
Now that the conflict with Denmark and the Netherlands was over, James concentrated on restoring friendly relations with those 2 nations. There were some people opposed to this, claiming that Poland can still crush them like bugs, but the Emperor did not listen. He did not want a war with either one of them, and preferred a time of peace for the Polish Imperium - a time to grow its internal power and infrastructure. He decided that the first step was to finally establish the trade route with Yalta, which his imperial predecessors had wanted to do for a while but the Imperium did not have the money necessary to fund the trade.
Meanwhile, in Germany the situation was disastrous. The locals had burned their farms tot he ground, generating a mild, but noticeable, famine. Relief would also have to be sent into the German provinces. The Germans feared that the Polish Imperium would not treat them fairly - that they would lose freedom completely. This was not true, however. The Imperium does not tolerate uprisings and rebellions, but it DOES tolerate ethnic minorities and ethnic equality. This is obvious in the Ethnic Equality Code, which Emperor Eric II "the Great" had proclaimed.
The FNA, however, troubled Emperor James. The FNA government had begun shoving the Inuit minority into concentration camps, or, as the FNA calls them, "replacement camps". This was a terrible thing to do - it could not be allowed to last. Even though James was determined to put an end to this ruthless treatment of minorities by the FNA, he was not willing to go to the extreme measure of war with the FNA. He decided to break ties with the FNA until they stop the replacement camps.
In religious issues, many of the pagan idol statues have been torn down. The hub of Poland's Christianity seems to be in the provinces of central Poland and in Karelio(sp?)-Finland. There were Christians spread out in the other provinces, too, but few of them. Missionaries would be sent out from the Christian provinces. Currently, the Christian

agan population-percentage ratio is 48%:52%. This was a close balance, but the Pagans were still higher in numbers.
Diplomacy
From Emperor James I of the Polish Imperium
To FNA:
Until you cease this harsh treatment of the Inuit minorities, we will sever all ties with your nation. We will not have war with you, but we will not have any type of friendly interactions with you, either, unless and until you stop replacement camps.
To Denmark and the Netherlands:
Let by-gones be by-gones. NAP?
To Yalta/Eastern Black Sea:
Will you accept a trade route paid for by the Polish Imperium?
To France:
Could you please tell us how this feudal system works?
