Hi,

Is there no way to find out how you're progressing to one of the 'over multiple playthroughs' achievements?

Let's take the Build Every Wonder In The Game one. How the heck do I figure out which I haven't completed yet, other than by tracking on my own?

Cheers.

My games/Civ5/logs/achievements_debug
You need to enable logging but i forgot how to do that:(
Some achievements are bugged. 1000 temples for example. I have 841 temples but i didn't build so many cities and it doesn't count new temples.

If you're using Windows 7:

Open the config.ini file (My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5) and scroll down to LoggingEnabled = 0. Change the 0 to 1 and save the file (save, not save as). This enables the creation of a log file.

Start CiV as normal. Once you exit the game, look in the same folder as above - there should now be a folder called 'logs'. In there, is a file called achievements_debug.log which lists progress towards all the achievements - as long as logging is enabled, it updates each time you exit the game.

Thanks. I play on a Mac though. Although I can probably find the config.ini file.

Cheers.

Hope it helps - I used this method this weekend to check what units I was missing for 'Model of a Modern Major-General'.

Actually it updates when you *start* the game, so if you want it to update after some long gaming session you need to close the game then open it again.

OK. I have a problem. I enabled logging as specified. I started up the game, played a bit, saved and exited. However, there was achievements_debug.log file. There were other log files I found, but that one didn't exist. Might this be a Mac issue?

Cheers.

Is there is there not the achievements_debug.log file?

Also, to make sure your always up to date I recommend deleting the file so it is created again.

Dammit, mis-typed. There wasn't an achievements_debug.log file. No file.

Cheers.

Is the Mac version at the same patch level? I vaguely recall reading that the most recent major patch wasn't released for the Mac, but maybe I dreamed it. Anyway one of the patches months ago removed the log, and it only came back with the June patch.

OK thanks. I think we're on the patch that removed it then. We haven't got the June patch yet.

Cheers.

Thank you sooooooooooooooooo much Gwenwyn. 3 more units to go for Major-General (I couldn't for the life of me figure out what I was missing). The only depressing thing is that I have over 600 more temples to build for the God Is Great achievement.

:(
