So I finally gave in and decided to download some of the DLC for Civ V through steam. Surprise surprise, I'm finding a reason not to be satisfied but I think this is a legit complaint. I've paid for the stuff and when I start up Civ V there's no new content there. Steam support says that DLC is downloaded automatically to my game and can be accessed just by starting up Civ V through steam, but it's still not there. I've made sure that auto update is enabled with my steam account so the new DLC content isn't being blocked.. what's up? I'm kinda lost here. >.<

had that happen to me one time, when I started up none of the DLC was there. Just restarted my computer and everything was fine afterwords.

Did you verify integrity of game cache? Right click Civ5 > Properties > Local Files. It should scan all your files and DL anything missing.

I personally haven't ever had a problem with it DLing DLCs or updates so if that doesn't work I'd contact Steam support, you know since its their job to help with problems like this.

Well I verified the game integrity and steam told me it was downloading a few things, but opened the game up again and still nothing. Think i'll be going to customer support. Thanks for trying to help though :)

Every so often in life you have to verify the integrity of your cache ;)

Check out the Civ5 tech support subforum here too, as other people have probably had the same problem and it might be sovled there.

Check that you aren't in offline mode.
Check that you have 'Automatically keep this game up to date' set.

(posting just to make the effing 'it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks' message disappear)

Which DLC? If I remember correctly, some DLC is accessed only by going to custom game setup.

In other words, the DLC is almost certainly there in your game, you just need to know where to look for it.
