Steam Family Sharing now available for all users

Sharing is caring, and there’s no better way to show your friends and family you care than to let them have a taste of your abundant Steam library. Today, after six month in beta, Valve announced Steam Family Sharing is available to all Steam users.

Family Library Sharing allows you to share your Steam library with up to 10 computers at a given time, and for up to five accounts that may then use your game library on any of those computers.

Only one account can play games from the library at a time, and the primary account holder always has access over other users. If you start playing a game while one of the people you shared the library with is already playing, he or she will have a few minutes to either save and quit or purchase the game and continue playing. Also note that games that require an additional third-party key, account, or subscription in order to play can’t be shared.

Valve also warns to be cautious about who you share your library with, and not to let someone you don't know into your account to authorize their computer. “Your account may also be VAC banned if your library is used by others to conduct cheating or fraud,” Valve says. “Additionally, VAC-banned games cannot be shared. We recommend you only authorize familiar computers you know to be secure. And as always, never give your password to anyone.”

Anyone in US time zone want to share steam library with me on AU time zone ?
I have around 120 steam games,

That's not what its for, and you have to actually sign in on their computer with your account in order to authorize that computer for sharing. It also will give someone playing a game from your library a 5 minute warning before it kicks them out of the game if you start ANY of your own games, so only one person can use an account's library at any one time.

Thus I want to share with someone in the US or CAN time zone so we play while the other is sleeping. You only have to authorize the "friends" account once via steam guard.

Maniacal I can help you reduce that huge pile of shame,

This seems pretty stupid, you can already give them your account creds and let them use your account. Only difference now is both can be signed into steam, you still can't actually play anything simultaneously.

I wouldn't be massively keen on sharing my actual logon details whilst authorising someone else's logon to use the games on my account would be okay. Aside from the security issue, if you were sharing the same logon details then you would also be sharing saved games, stats and achievements.

1) You change your steam password AFTER you have authorized the "friends" account.
2) I have a chunk of money in my steam wallet and stuff for sale on steam market, plus own achievements, own stats and own save games.

Iam going to give this a go with RL friends and see how it works.
