Still not working for me Patch messed my game up

I'm running Windows 7. Just bought this laptop 2 weeks ago. The PGUID code isn't showing up in the regedit. So I'm stuck right now. And i can't find how to locate the uninstall shield to delete anything as well. Any help is greatly appreciated.

there is a subfolder with this uid in
\program files\installshield installation information
or
\program files (x86)\installshield installation information

delete that.

I've found the program(x86) folder but havent found this uninstallation shield people have spoken of. In that folder i don't see anything related to Civ IV yet I can't uninstall anything still. Weird.

Ok Ori I figured out how to open the hidden files and still can't find that code. It must not be on the computer. But this game seems stuck on it for some reason this is ridiculous.

try a registry cleaner like

ccleaner

or an uninstaller like

revo uninstaller

(the first is free to use - the other you can get as an evaluation program) - it must be stuck somewhere in the registry - and any of them should be able to find and purge it, I hope

CCleaner cleaned up alot of files but when I insert the game cd to reinstall, it still says play or exit or read manual. So the game isnt fully uninstalled yet. Unreal

This is absolutely ridiculous a videogame can cause this much computer drama. I havent been able to play this game for a month now. And barely got a full week in when i bought it. Are you kidding me not being able to uninstall this mess from a simple patch? Is there any assistance from Fireaxis at all?
