If we want to play Civ3 we must see that it is the product of the semplification of Sid's and Firaxians' VISION of reality...
We are not playing reality, but a game:a human product that should be different for everyone because everyone has-I hope- his unique vision of reality...
Like in D&D,if you don't like the way your DM imagine the world you play in,change DM..
Every idea has a good point behind if can product a game like civ3
I could say that some points of the combat system of Age of Kings are quite criticizable, but anyone could tell me that he doesn't agree...
Try to doubt of your vision of the real world:this could be a great merit of civ,to oper your eyes to different way of thinking...
MP in civ is absolutely unplayable,if not like hot seat,or better like playing by mail,I mean merging each player's savegame with the others to synchonoze them..a turn a day(a week?)!!
Broken features like air superority will be fixed, other complains about game concepts are often a sign of impatience and arrogance...
If you want to simulate reality U need someone to tell you how it works, not a great discover you need to accept a compromise...
And to drake:
The best products are spawned from constructive criticism from users.......
Hell, the best things in the world are spawned from constructive criticism.
Big difference between bringing up a valid problem or bug and whining just to whine.
Criticism does not = whining
That's the ultimate word about the problem
You said it!!!
