Strange Noises from Deep Within the Bowels of my Computer

So my laptop is periodically making bizarre noises. Kinda like clicky, grindy, snorty noises. I don't think its coming from the CD drive because there is no CD in it, and it happens at complete random. I also don't think its teh fan because it doesn't seem to come from that part of the computer.

What the crap is going on?

Well I've backed up my documents and pictures of my puppy, so that's all good.

I don't think I'll take it to a shop. It's an old and crappy computer, so if it dies it dies.
