Strike Range

I mentioned this in a post about a week ago, but it sort of got buried in with other ideas...

Give each unit a strike "range" that has an effect on combat resolution. what I mean by this is a pikeman can strike an enemy farther away from him than a warrior can. Similarly, a musketman can strike from farther away than a swordsman. Obviously in combat this would give you an advantage over your opponent. This should help further the idea that 9999 times out of 10000, a tank would not lose when it attacks a spearman, since the tank can just hang out from half a mile away and just bombard the spearman.
 
I think redstang423 meant range as a factor that would multiply the attack stats of the more contemporary unit in the combat calculator.
But IMHO this is a complication that could be addressed by the increase of Attack or the addition of HP to modern units...
