Well this is one huge set of possible settings and scenarios...BUT

I'm playing on hardest difficulty as Germany hoping to go from may 1940 to the end of the war and gain victory...

What I am interested in is gathering so information as to how other people have found playing as germany at this difficulty setting.

The creator of the scenario made it appear that he knew of only 1 person that had a chance of winning it...I am trying but it is one hell of a struggle. The events files could really be modified to be more like the real ww2 mechanisms...it is possible to script brit withdrawal at dunkirk...it is possible to script french surrender -instead of the never ending war!

I want to find out how far other people have progresses and to some extend how.

my tips are:
1. attack dunkirk and take.
2. take belgium and netherlands
3. bomb paris and slip forces through to take.
4. Bomb and take limonges
5. THEN clear up the rest of france and take tunisia.
6. don't ask the reason why, this is the best way to make frenchmen die!
7. Panic about inpending war with russia!

Well yeah isn't the game suppose to switch France's name from France to Vichy France after you take Vichy or something?
Well what i do is capture all of france and fortify it like hell, i build up troops in Vadso in north Norway to attack Murmansk and northwest Russia. And i make Norway a huge sub producing area producing vet subs. I put AA guns all of France i build up my tanks in Tirane then attack Greece and i fortify in Tubruq until i feel i can attack with success.
Russia is my main concern cause i don't feel that a succesful invasion of Britain can be obtained before the invasion of russia.I have had the balls to play Germans on Hard yet on Xin Lu from apolyton has beat it on Hard

You mean you haven't been axis on hard sun tzu...it is mean!

I have progressed though...invaded france a treat with only about 50 casualties (mainly to counter-attacks) but have now secured it.

I have lost much of north africa...I tried to clear egypt with a small force...did well but lost all my units eventually...thus the brits bombered and paraed along the coast.

Don't really mind losing much of N.africa...it doesn't make for victory!

Fighting for dear life in albania and greece (been devastating) and still got allies in Narvik.

Scared of upcoming barbarossa.

If this chap won on hard...what is the definition of this victory?

well, try and regroup and take parts of russia as fast as you can. then use the factories in russia to make more weapons and send them where they are needed.

Well what i've done in Africa is load all my Afrika Korps in Tubruq(Tobruk) and wait for them all. I also load up tanks shipped from Italy to Tirane to attack Greece. Italy is a very important attack point! The Allies are very strong in N. Africa. So i load up with lost of AA Guns around Rome and Naples and load up Sicily with defensive units. I use taranto to tranny units back and forth from italy and Greece.
The Allies will also give you hell in France in late 1941 on. With Attacks by Flying Fortresses. I had to keep fighting in France because of the constant bombings and amphibious landings by the allies. Amiens was completely destroyed because of the fighting. Now one thing i will like in other WW2 scenarios or maybe a revised version is. Well the Germans were able to mass produce U-boats. Maybe lowering U-boats production would be better so you can mass produce them. Also the switching of France to Vichy France and allied ot the Axis after the Axis take Vichy.
Russia was extrememly hard for me. I could not get to Kiev! I was very poorly prepared because of the strength it took to take out Yugoslavia.
I think that the MAIN objective in Barbarossa would be to conquer the Caucas region. That is a very productive region.
You can take Leningrad from Finland with Bombers from Norway(gotta produce them).
I have thought about a couple of ways to use the production of norway. I have turned south/west norway into a U-boat production region. Or producing Bombers to bomb Northern England to hell and back.
