Because the game was very firm, they wanted to balance out the hardness. :D

He wants to remind you. In case you forgot.

Which a shovel, of course.

Now I know you want to use English units, but since you're not in America, metric it is.

Armour comes in many forms, from leather to plate. Speak to your local provisioner and he'll be happy to sell you a suit of the finest quality.

With sticks, of course.

No, a fishing line will do just fine.

Only with future tech #8,236.

Why does a trireme have a large stick pointing straight up in the air? Is it to hold onto?

Actually, you can. ;) Just move a pioneer onto a ship, move the ship out to sea. Wake the pioneer, and have it build a road. Also (maybe in older version?), you can keep waking it, and have it road again, and it will be built on the same turn. You can even do it for rails, too.

How can an armor ride on a galley?

Doesn't work in SNES though =P

How can an armor ride on a galley?

Ancient galley designers had a tremendous amount of foresight. Especially in Civ. They knew that eventually, there would be very large vehicles with weapons on them and they would need to ride on ancient rowing ships. The holds were designed with this in mind, so they were large enough to carry 2 full compliments of these large vehicles. Needless to say, the ancient galleys were very comfortable for a troop of legionaries to ride in. Spacious with plenty of legroom. :D

Why can't I find any hint what the ancient American civilization did in 4000 BC in my history books?

Did Caesar and Elisabeth really lived at the same time?

Are the Pyramids located in St. Louis?

AND
the most important question of all:
Is it possible that people could live thousands of years (see leaders)? When yes plz let me know how to do it because I would also like to live as long as they.

..and when some unit out in the middle of nowhere on another ontinent gets attacked and killed, why does my whole ivilization know what happened when there was nobody around to say that I was attacked? =P (or with another civ. It's like they and my own civ all are telepathic or something.. ;P)

Somewhere I'm sure someone named Elizabeth was alive during Caeser's time. :D

What is a Leader? (CIV1 forum here...)

Was Ceasar a Leader?

Why do I need aquedut for ALL cities to go after 6? Coudn't they simply get the water other way? Especially after 1900...

Why do cathedrals make Egiptian people happy?

Don't militias felt frightened by armors?

I love to kill my units. Why do they never flee...?

A leader is an immortal person chosen at the beginning of civilization (4000 BC) by every civilization. There is no possible way for this leader to die or lose power, even in a democracy. :D

That's just silly talk, man! And it's size 10 in Civ I. :D 8 in Civ II and 6 in Civ III. :p

Because of the ornate ceilings.

No, they are given hallucinogens when command sees them coming.

If they fled, we wouldn't hear bedoloop!

Why do Pyramids have that effect?

Why can a temple construction affect volcano errupts?
(check the newspaper on this one ;) )

Why do gold does not appear in plains?

Why don't romans disappear in 1453? And the Egipts go into AD?

How can I become immortal like CIV leaders? Is there a eternal youth little lake, like in colonization?

Can I make peace with the communist pathetic CIV (that red coloured fellows...) ?

Why do new CIVs all give peace offers when I 1st meet them?

Pyramids create stability since they are triangular.

Sacrifices to the angry volcano god.

Why do gold does not appear in plains?
Gold only exists in hills or mountains. That one was easy.

Because the Romans didn't disappear... They changed into Italians. The Egyptians are still there too.

No, they keep you alive using embalming techniques and lots of peanut butter.

Don't be silly. The Red Civ is too warlike. All they do is build legions.

To be nice. The computer fears the bedoloop!

Again, why do gold doesn't appear in plains, rives,... and only in mountains and hills?

Why aren´t Potuguese in the game?

Am I a newbie?

What is a newbie?

Why my fiends say CIV has pe-historic gaphics?

Has it something to do with CIV having so old civilizations?

Why my sound at CIV is PC Speaker? Does the PC speak?

Why do I command my CIV with a Torch?

Why can't my city have 5000 citizens and jumps to 10000 in the year I found it, staying there for the next millenium?

Again, why do gold doesn't appear in plains, rives,... and only in mountains and hills?

Go out in real life and find me gold in plains..or a substansial amount in a river..then come back and tell us about it :)

Why aren´t Potuguese in the game?

Sid didn't put them in it!

Am I a newbie?

Apparently :p

What is a newbie?

What are you!?

Why my fiends say CIV has pe-historic gaphics?

They wouldn't know graphics if they bit them in the @$$!

Has it something to do with CIV having so old civilizations?

You know what....maybe ;)

Why my sound at CIV is PC Speaker? Does the PC speak?

Don't you hear it talking to you?

Why do I command my CIV with a Torch?

Because that's what the cursor is, silly!

Why can't my city have 5000 citizens and jumps to 10000 in the year I found it, staying there for the next millenium?

Time lapse photography man.....

Here's a question from me:

If you stick your finger all the way up your nose, can you tickle your brain?

Gonzo, Gonzo, Gonzo...

No, it doesn't.

Keeping the good mood here...

WHY THE MOUSE CURSOR IS A TORCH?

Is Gonzo also a newbie?

Or is it a mod? Can I download it to my computer? How are it's graphics?

Does Gonzo prefer CIV or SW? (Star Wars...)

Why can't I change production in my city? All those militias...

Why do other leaders (I'm a leader, right ?!?) always demand tribute?

Why they smile and next thing they attack me?

I bought CIV1, but it says DOS version... Is it one or two? Why is it 2 in spanish?

Why the other version is WIN? Is my version Loose?

Does that explain why I loose so many games?
