How effective is US at lowering war weariness? Are there any stats for it?

I think it lowers all WW by one level (e.g. 0% instead of 25%, 25% instead of 50%). This means that a republic will take twice as long to get WW and get half as much during the first WW hit. In other words, it's like a secnd police station in every city. There's an article on WW in the war academy that mentions the effects of this wonder.

I might be way off base because I'm assuming this, but I always thought Universal will lower each city the amount a police station in that city would lower.. YES?? NO???

So how important is US to players who like to wage wars in the Republic?

it's important but it's all relative, if you're planning a mid-range or long war it can help quite a bit if you don't want to change gov's, other wise with short wars it really doesn't matter too much

Difficulty level plays a part too

:bump:
Seriously though, Universal Sufferage. Yeah, I don't get it either.

Universal Suffrage is usually obtainable even if you start after the AI. The AI will start on it as soon as a city opens up. Since it comes with Industrialization, a human will rush a factory and/or coal plant first before starting the wonder. AI isn't smart enough to do that so it takes them forever to build it. It's effects are pretty crappy - as bingen said it's only useful to prevent a cascade to TOE.
