I'd suggest we make a First-Aid thread and sticky it on this board.
The idea is to have a list of things noted there that are common tools to get a buggy game running again. Things to try before people have to make threads to get exactly those suggestions first anyway
Many people like to try these things on theire own instead of waiting hours or day for the first quality reply on theire threads, or even while they are waiting. And its not realy a waste if few people are using it anyway.
Things to add:
-update your drivers (links to manufacturer pages for lazy people)
-checking for the right versions and modi (dx, compatibility etc) and how to change them
-verifying file-integrity
-whatever comes in mind.
maybe even some links to relevant threads in this forum
