I think we should strongly hint Sid mier(or however you spell it) that there is still a large crowd that do not like the change to civ3. I think he should remake civ2 with a smarter AI, and some more diplomatic options along with it, also a smoother multiplayer. He probly wouldnt do it just because of no profit but what do you guys think about that?

As you already said, the chances of that happening are _very_ slim (did Sid Meier not cancel SimsVille because they ran short on money?).

I would like it though (although I play vs humans only anyways, I only play against the cpu to check some things).

Well i dont find multiplayer that fun its to damn slow!

But it is a _lot_ more challenging, strategies vary because players actually adapt to them, the head-on-head races to complete a wonder still get me to the edge of my seat.

Human enemies are not comparable to the dumb cheater-ai.

Civ4 has already been announced, so a Civ2 remake ain't gonna happen, but maybe Civ4 will be what Civ3 was supposed to be.

Let's hope it's more additive than Civ3, at least. Never ever finished a game with Civ3.

exactly...why is so much ram needed for a TBS game unless the AI is cranked to Big Blue proportions....thats what we want, isnt it? a challenging CivII would be worth an upgrade to me, but not graphics by themselves

You're right. Sometimes it feels like Civ3 is just about the graphics, though I like the culture idea. Civ3 actually is better, just not better enough to make it worth it.
