Super Tribes

@ England. Our Knights are simply there to help celebrate the groundbreaking at New Leeds! Of course, you may be assured that they will depart once the party is over! [party]

Dear Emperor of the Macedonians
We are sure that you would not condone such actions but we write to inform you that your knights have disgraced their station and have behaved badly. They are no longer welcome at our parties. Please recall them from our borders before they cause any more trouble.

Kindest regards
Emperor Hawklord of the English.

Dear Emperor Hawklord of the English,

Pray recall our proper title next time you write. Also, what madness are you speaking? We've reviewed our dispositions, and none of our Knights are even one foot within your borders!

Regards,

Elephantium
Speaker of the Macedonian Council

Dear Speaker
We apologise for getting your title wrong. But if you insist on changing it without informing the rest of us then these things will happen.
While it may be true your troops have not a foot in out lands, they hang around our borders like a bad smell on a dead pig.If a horse stumbled over a stone the rider would be on English soil. Do not believe that we are unable to handle any incursion by "lost" or "stumbling" knights.

Emperor Hawklord

(FWIW, I think I've been pretty consistent about using "Macedonian Council" while my tribe's been in Republic)

Dear Emperor Hawklord,

If the stench of our patrolling Knights offends you, I can order a bath for them. Surely you can agree to that? Petty threats to our troops do not become you, sir. Have I complained of your Imperial Cavalry units along my borders? My Knight patrols are no more provocative than your Cavalry movements. Surely you can see that.

Speaker Elephantium of the Macedon Council

We have sent out a few cavalry patrols to see what the great attraction is for so many Macedonian knights. All we can see is English villages, so you must excuse us if we get a little nervous as to their intentions. Taken with the Macedonian infantry camped around our southern borders it all adds up to something unpleasantly like a mobilisation readying for war. As the the only attraction is English villages we are becoming concerned as to your intentions.

To ease this tension it would be better if they all withdrew a little and had their bathing parties elsewhere.

Hawklord

Just making sure their friends take longer to reach the party so we can prepare a proper welcome for them this time.

Enough of the verbal dancing. Should you proceed with your planned invasion, things will go badly for your troops. We are not unprepared and will defend our villages.

Planned invasion? Dear sir, do you have a spy on our Council? Do your lackeys drive Macedon policy? Speak not to me of my plans, for you are not privy to them.

As for my troops, they are on Barbarian Patrol. You interfere with their movements at your own peril.

Hi Guys, saves with me, received from Sully yesterday. Sorry, been busy so may be more delay.

Also, next week I head off on holiday for a week without my PC......

Righto, managed to find time to play. Now offline until next Sunday. I'll be enjoying Hong Kong including Disneyland with the kids.

Play nicely when I'm gone.

@Macedonia
England is grateful for your help with barbarian hunting in the northern wilderness, but as you can see there are no barbarians near our villages. Please ask your troops to patrol away from, and outside our borders.

Many thanks
Hawklord of the English

The English government can't see how the Macedonians can be hunting barbarians. Any barbarians in that area would be tripping over Macedonian knights every time they turned around. We think you are trying to grab all the wilderness for yourself by keeping our lawful settlers from travelling. But it won't work, we too can go on barbarian patrols.

The wilderness stands open; knock yourself out doing barbarian patrols. Just have your men watch themselves out there -- the barbarians can pack quite a punch to the unwary.
