First messege in awhile, finally got cable up here at college. Anyways its a cool, cheap game($9 at wally world). 140 playable countries starts in 1997, you start off with armies of actual size, they used UN and CIA data to do this. You can dominate the world while growing your economy by trading with Mexico or conquering that small country, either or.
Fun game, check it out, peace! i might visit again sooner or later.

I rented it before. Maybe it's because I'm still a kid, but this game is VERY complicated and pretty boring. I never figured out all the buttons, and I expected better graphics. :(

min. system requirements.
Windows 98/ME/XP
PEntium Compatible Processor :P processor speed isn't required i guess
64MB RAM
300MB hard disk space
CD-rome drive
3d video card capable of 800x600 at 16-bit resolution

is there a website devoted to the game- sounds kinda interesting but...

I either have the exact same game by a different name (Global Power) or an incredibly similar game with exactly the same specs and database. :p (and it's a Pentium 200 or higher required, btw)

While I appreciate it's sheer scope and well, size, I never could get to grips with it. It is rather daunting when you have a choice of at least twenty different classes of helicopter to attack a country with, and the controls aren't as easy to get to grips with as I normally like. Even sitting down and forcing myself to play the game until I understood and enjoyed it didn't work (like I did with star wars: rebellion and europa universalis).

In every game it seems I just lose interest, target every major city with nuclear weapons and watch the pretty white explosions on the map. Even then that gets old fast. Coupled with having to download a patch with me poor old 56K modem in order to stop it from crashing didn't help matters  . In other words, I found it a game with amazing potential, but didn't pull it off quite right.

I bought the game from Target for 10 bucks but soon deinstalled it from my system as I found it lacking. ;)

A friend of mine had this game. I saw it once, and thought that watching the little lines that track missles from point A to point B was pretty cool. He said it got boring after a while and sold it to EB. (I think he got it there too.)
