Superslug/Panzar75-Round II!

I can see why you might expect Qxg4, but given that I'm the one down material, I'm not as inclined towards swapping...

1. g3 d5
2. Bh3 Bxh3
3. Nxh3 Nf6
4. Nf4 e5
5. 0-0 exf4
6. gxf4 Nc6
7. e3 Bd6
8. b3 Qd7
9. Nc3 0-0-0
10. Qf3 Ne7
11. a4 Qg4+
12. Qg3

The only choice you had was HOW we were going to make the exchange, not IF (with the exception of simply giving me your Queen for free of course). Perhaps Qg3 was better than Qxg4, I'm not sure.

10. Qf3 Ne7
11. a4 Qg4+
12. Qg3 Qxg3

I'm trying to be positive and think that Qg3 put the swap more on my terms as it gave me more control over maintaining my line as compared to having one of your knights come down toward my side. It may just be a subtle difference, but then again maybe not.

10. Qf3 Ne7
11. a4 Qg4+
12. Qg3 Qxg3
13. hxg3

I was expecting fxg3, but then again, you don't do expected, do you? ;)

10. Qf3 Ne7
11. a4 Qg4+
12. Qg3 Qxg3
13. hxg3 h5

Now that we both see your potential queen corridor, fxg3 might have been have been a better choice. So be it, I'm still alive for the moment...

10. Qf3 Ne7
11. a4 Qg4+
12. Qg3 Qxg3
13. hxg3 h5
14. Ba3

10. Qf3 Ne7
11. a4 Qg4+
12. Qg3 Qxg3
13. hxg3 h5
14. Ba3 Bxa3

I'm not sure if I should predict your moves considering a few of the moves made in this game, but I'll take the risk. :p

If 15. Rxa3 then I'll play 15...Ne4.

I was just thinking, since we are sometimes playing our moves almost as fast as "normal" chess, perhaps you'd consider a game or two on the zone or some similar site sometime?

I have such a hard time finding people who don't insult me, threaten me, leave mid-game, stops playing until their time has run out and then refuse to start another game, leave or say anything, and so on... I guess people really hate losing.

I'll definitely consider a 'normal' game sometime. I've been a bit busy lately, but things should settle down soon...

10. Qf3 Ne7
11. a4 Qg4+
12. Qg3 Qxg3
13. hxg3 h5
14. Ba3 Bxa3
15. Rxa3 Ne4
16. Rd1

10. Qf3 Ne7
11. a4 Qg4+
12. Qg3 Qxg3
13. hxg3 h5
14. Ba3 Bxa3
15. Rxa3 Ne4
16. Rd1 Nxc3

If 17. dxc3 then I'll play 17...g6

I just realized something:
I did it! I did it! I survived more than fifteen turns!:crazyeye:  [dance]

Anyway, enough of that, back to the game...
10. Qf3 Ne7
11. a4 Qg4+
12. Qg3 Qxg3
13. hxg3 h5
14. Ba3 Bxa3
15. Rxa3 Ne4
16. Rd1 Nxc3
17. dxc3 g6
18. Kg2

Yeah... I feel like I'm changing my plans every few turns. I have no idea what I should do. Feels like I'm waiting for you to make the decisions and hoping that my material surplus will do the job for me.

Maybe it will.

10. Qf3 Ne7
11. a4 Qg4+
12. Qg3 Qxg3
13. hxg3 h5
14. Ba3 Bxa3
15. Rxa3 Ne4
16. Rd1 Nxc3
17. dxc3 g6
18. Kg2 Rhe8

The h-file didn't quite work out for me... let's see what we can do in the centre instead.

Personally, I'm scared to get too agressive as I'm down a piece and with each passing swap, the difference grows proportionally larger. I will admit though, this game is growing very pleasant for me. Not only have I survived longer than last time, I'm learning new things about the notation system...It took me a minute to figure out what Rhe8 meant...I had been wondering how you would differentiate between rooks.

EDIT: Forgot to post a move...
10. Qf3 Ne7
11. a4 Qg4+
12. Qg3 Qxg3
13. hxg3 h5
14. Ba3 Bxa3
15. Rxa3 Ne4
16. Rd1 Nxc3
17. dxc3 g6
18. Kg2 Rhe8
19. Raa1

I'm not sure your position can be described as "plesant". :) But I suppose a better player would've found something decisive earlier.

Not to worry, I'll still get a full point if I win after 100+ moves. (And with an extra piece vs. pawn and no weaknesses for you to use, I like my chances.)

10. Qf3 Ne7
11. a4 Qg4+
12. Qg3 Qxg3
13. hxg3 h5
14. Ba3 Bxa3
15. Rxa3 Ne4
16. Rd1 Nxc3
17. dxc3 g6
18. Kg2 Rhe8
19. Raa1 Ng8

It's only 'pleasant' in the sense I made my goal of suriving 15 turns and learning more notation. Win or lose this has been an improvement. As far as the game itself goes, you're right, this blows...

11. a4 Qg4+
12. Qg3 Qxg3
13. hxg3 h5
14. Ba3 Bxa3

19. Raa1 Ng8
20. c4 dxc4

20. c4 dxc4
21. bxc4 Rxd1
22. Rxd8+

I got the plus sign off of Winboard, does it denote check? I'm assuming so as I've deciphered the rest of it's notation correctly so far...

The only way you can make the move Rxd8+ (=check, correct) is to do so on move 23. So I'll assume you recaptured first.

20. c4 dxc4
21. bxc4 Rxd1
22. Rxd1 Rd8
23. Rxd8+ Kxd8

That's twice this game I input something wrong. You're absolutely right about what I meant, I forgot to type in the correct 22 line. Sorry! I was in a rush to make the move before I went to work...

20. c4 dxc4
21. bxc4 Rxd1
22. Rxd1 Rd8
23. Rxd8+ Kxd8
24. Kh3
