Supreme Commander

Yeah seems nice in this sea of plain boring RTSes or at least until the new C&C game.

It'll sure be a major hit when it comes out (if it delivers that is).

Well it is TA:2 for all intents and purposes.. so it should rock! :D

And that's for perspective on the sheer scope of the game.

This is going to be huge! Anyone saw how much damage a nuclear bomb can do?

No please show.I imagine it would be realistic since the game is played on extremely large maps.

That Massive TANK looks awesome.

Wonder how it'll play thou

The small dots are the units and the faint ring around the blast is the shockwave. Now that's what i call a nuclear explosion! :D

That's a lot of soon to be dead units.Awesome! :goodjob:

I think i read somewhere (I'm not sure though so please correct me if i'm wrong) that there will be two shockwaves in such an explosion, the initial one which will damage units within a large radius and a second one which will have smaller radius but will destroy everything in it's path.
The units that are near ground zero will evaporate instantly but faster units within the shockwave's radius may have a chanche to escape the blast.

In short, they are trying to simulate everything in the game to be like real war. I can't wait!

I'm looking forward to this, TA is one of my favourite games.

My favourite memories of it are starting massive forest fires and watching the little robots slug it out among the flames! :D

Is this 2 sides? It should be interesting to see if they are going to put in hundreds of units again. I've never seen that many different units in a RTS before and for it to only have 2 sides makes it even more unprecedented. Didn't TA have about 250 units (after exp pack).

I can't wait until it's out.

Too bad we have to wait for so long. Fortunately, there are a lot of good games coming out until then.

@P_Dandy: Right now they've got three sides slated: the Terrans, with your basic utilitarian strength-in-numbers approach, the Cybrans with lots of big hard-hitting spider-bots, and the Aeons with the advanced technology and hovertanks equipped with leather bucket seats.

Hard to say which of these sides is going to be pegged as the bad guy--there's a tendency to automatically assume the side with the big nasty spider-bots is the Bad Guy, except that the motivational poster for the Cybrans has the word LIBERATE on it.

Whereas the Aeon poster says....

PURGE

Yikes.
