Suspious American Fleet

The Americans have sent a large fleet of Ironclads and currently they are blocking the Strait of Gibraltar. They are'nt at war with me. They are'nt at war with anyone on my continent (Asia, Europe, Africa).
So what are they up to? You don't send a fleet for no reason.
Could the AI actually be smart enough that they are trying to blockade the Strait of Gibraltar and control it?

what confueses me is that there's no transport. i almost want to say the AI is trying to explore with one or two of it's ironclads,a dn the others are trying to 'escort' it

The Americans are sending even more ships and their all sailing into the Mediterreanaen. I don't get it. What are they up to?

Ok and now the American fleet is withdrawing. And I am confused as what they are/were up to.

They were blocking the Straight of Gibralter simply 'cause they wanted control. They would have had total control if they held a city at the Suez Canal. But, you could have tried to make another blockade on the inside if you had a city in Rome (which I see you have)

Actually I can't make another blockade all my ships are in the Pacific fighiting the British. I can't build any ships in Europe in a reasonable amount of time and I can't rush it because not enough pop.
I think you're right though the Americans have left two Ironclads behind blocking the Straits. I could either bomb them or send Kamikazes after them.

It looks like your playing a mod... so I'd say, if you have any stealth attack units
go attack.

In RA2 they bombed my ivan bombed demotrucks in amphibious transports. it was my whole investment. and they destroyed it. they didn't even know what was in there.

not necessarily, stealth attack dosen't always mean hidden nationality.

The Americans did set up a blockade and the AI was actually smart enough to do it! I can't believe it!

Anyaway a short while after the Americans demanded inscens I refused and we went to war and I annihalated their fleet using Japanese Bombers, Fighters, and Kamikazes.

So I guess the Ai is actually smart enough to use choke point and straits to deney the enemy acess to it. A nice discovery guess the AI is'nt as stupid as once assumed. It's really improve din Conquests.
