he has an interesting playing style.he built 250 cities with 3720 dom limit and get 41k+ points.i ve never see a game like that.i checked nearly every same but his game is unique.
my question is if you play like that less but big cities can you get more points??
and in civ stats in the points screen svar's point is the highest.3,83 ,i think.monarch record is 3,696.if you have more points from the tile does it mean you get more points for score.(i know it is all about happy citizens and terrotory but i m just curious about it. )

I have a very specific playing style that optimizes the end game. I looked at some intermediate saves and these are the results; 1274 AD 503 cities, 1330 AD 509 cities. 1385 AD 511 cities, 1500 AD 506 cities, 1590 AD 475 cities. After 1590 AD the number of cities will steadily be reduced to an OCP scheme.

So what I do is select an OCP scheme for permanent cities and all the others will be temporary cities that only are removed when the permanent cities need the space after hospitals are built. You want to work every available tile with a happy citizen as much as possible so if you can remove any temporary city and place a happy citizen there you will gain 1 point per turn more than you would get by leaving the city there.

So you really need to start planning where most of your permanent cities will be placed by 10 AD so you don't build any infrastructure in a temporary city. All I build in temporary cities is military units, workers, and settlers.

i think you go for longevity before sanitation.why did you do that??

1274 AD 503 cities.i think that year you reached the dom limit.but i think your city number is too low for that kind of city placing(i saw your 1000AD save and you placed cities 1 empty and 1 city.sometimes 2 empty and 1 city).did you placed cities more open after 1000 AD?

and will you send 1150AD 1200AD 1250AD 1300ADand 2049 AD save??(my e-mail is emin_cetinkaya@yahoo.com)

and thanks for the tips.

The requested saves are on the way and when you open them you will see that I didn't get Longevity before Sanitation. There is a maximum number of cities available and that number is 512. You will notice that I was at that limit through much of the initial milking phase because I was too agressive in placing some of my temperory cities that are in the rows between the permanent cities. I generally place those cities 3 tiles apart but because I wanted as many cities as possible early in the game I placed some of those cities 2 tiles apart. That was a mistake I should have stayed with my normal routine and when it was time to start repositioning cities I would have had more cities to place. As it was I had to wait until I had built hospitals in some of the permanent cities and had enough citizens in those cities to work the tiles that were abandoned when the temporary cities were removed.

You want to work all the most food productive land in the entire world during the milking phase not neccessarily your orginal core land. In fact there were some old core cities that were abandoned later in the game because they occupied low food porduction areas.

after i get the saves i will ask more question.actually i learned the most game from your saves.
i m now playing with your style.and i think it is a good way to get more points in the early game.(i m now playing a chieftain game. i m now year 90 BC and i m 70 more points from my best game.277 to 207.)i will the whole game with your style and see what will change.

and thanks for your attention.

Svar,
i have also been very interested in your playstyle, downloaded your savefiles and studied them. i have a couple of different games started trying to emulate your style. i would love to look at those save games that A_Turkish_Guy requested. hope that wouldn't be too much trouble. :)
