Svartalfar Mod

Is .25 for vanilla? I thought .23 was as high as vanilla Civ went. If .25 does work without the expanion, do you know where to get it? Cause I only see .23 and .30 available for download.

.25 is Fire for BTS. It got some of the features that was planned for shadow. But it's kinda pointless to play it now that shadow is released.
 
ya, 0.23c is the latest and last for vanilla

0.25 is just the most recent modmod ive made for a ffh version.

i'll be waitin til i feel the need to make something for a current version that isn't likely to change for a bit before i make a modmod for 0.30.

i want to make a multiplayer friendly one again possibly soon. first thing is to remove the GP pool threshold increases that are so annoying in team games. i also want to make mana mineable for fun heh
 
Alright, that's exactly what I wanted then. I know that some of your newer mods seem to change different things, but I didn't know if .23c was the same as your eariler mods. Thanks for all the work.
 
.23c doesnt have the complete stuff, 1.46j is older and has all the stuff detailed but only for the light phase version.

.23c has dark elves and improvements can find resources and are buildable everywhere.. only thing i know it doesnt have are the new spells, not sure what else its missing.
 
Well, I will take what I can get. I personally liked the spells and the dark elves, my brother really liked the springer and scorcher, cause he automates stuff. Do the improvements at least include the lanun coastal cottages?
 
Hmm, I just noticed that you didn't change dark elf the leader's traits. Does Hidden do anything with your mod? Also, you seem to have taken first strike away from their units?
 
Ok, I think I may have done something wrong. I see the new dark elves, but none have poison damage except assassins and shadows. Also, there are no lanun costal cottages or the ability to build improvements everywhere. I downloaded that file, opened up up, and copied the assets folder into my copy of Fall From Heaven 2 023.

If its not too much trouble, could you check to make sure that is the proper file?

the svartalfar units redone for new strengths and such integrated into 0.23c, plus the team gp fix (so that a team mate getting a great person doesnt affect other team members gp threshholds), and removed the huge bonus that the AI gets against barbs because i hate it so much lol

ah thats what in this one, i was mistaking it with a different one. i took away the first strikes and poison damage by that time and had standardized them for the new strengths (this was when all units gained 1 strength).
 
So there isn't any resource modifications? There's no new rituals, spells, or heroes? The dark elf units are essentially the same as the elven units but with different names pictures? And the leader still has an unusuable trait?

Do you plan on making any of those changes for .23c? I know it isn't the most recent version, but it is the highest version that vanilla Civ players can use.
 
hadn't planned on it, i tend to stick to the latest version.

the main reason i didn't do much for 0.23c was because the combat odds were pretty wonky and 0.25 came out shortly after. usually the level of content in my modmods evolves over time, and revolves around the amount of time a certain version is out and how much i play it, and always use the most recent version.

the most recent version of the Light Phase of FfH was the most solid version of FfH for vanilla civ and the svartalfar mod for that is the most robust.

there is one thing you can get tho, BlazeRedSXT made a mod for 0.23c that included many of my changes and more:

I may be missing something but I can't seem to even play as the Svartalfar after putting this stuff into the game. Any idea why?
