Well - maybe it is time to play a little less...

I saw a worker using a pick-axe in front of a housing development and thought - "Strange place for a mine"

I think you need therapy. How do you know it wasn't a road that was being built?

Aahh! Of course, it was a road not a mine.

Back to playing. (And of course I'm a nerd, I'm posting here, aren't I?)
:)

I drove past a field of cows the other day and my first thought (true story!) was that I should build a pasture and a road out here to secure this resource.

Silly idea really - I mean - the road was already there as I was driving on it. ;-)

I was seriously looking at the Fry's Electronics ad the other day and thinking, "Wow, I could get a decent laptop for only $799 and then I could play Civ on my lunch hour every day."

Of course, I would probably do One More Turn and not get back to work until 3:00.

Dead hampster, floating fish, a green hairy thing in the fridge and you offer gems and fur to your wife in exchange for *** ;)

To get myself to sleep at night I try not to think of real world problems. They only aggrivate me and keep me up. So I think of my current civ game and fall asleep thinking of my next move. Almost every night I do this.

One morning my wife was pissed and asked "Who is this, Isabella? And why is she trying to attack you every night?" Just kidding about the last part, bad attempt at humor, but I do think, civ, every night before bed.

there was another game i played with the same addictive quality as Civ, its the X games series. people on their forum complain of symptons like at first thinking they need energy cells to refuel their car. another one is when i played poker all day(texas holdem this is) the next day at college we got this handout entitled Q&A and my first thought was ooo ace queen im gonna raise it up now. these things do really happen its crazy, and doesn't everyone spend their non civ time planning what they are going to do in their civ time.

Well, not every night, only every night I play cIV. Which is every night in regular intervals :crazyeye: But I can't seem to find sleep very well then because I'm always running my upcoming turns before my inner eye.

Oh, and often when I see a truly sweet spot for a city I'm feeling the greed and I have to fight the urge to build a settler right away and grab it.
Even worse when the AI settled on an oh so sweet spot I'm turning green with envy and fight the urge to start a war just to conquer it! Now if that's not a bad case of fanatism, I don't know what is!

I think of civ-fanatics before I sleep! It has opposite effect, I admit.

Symptom of playing too much MOO3? --> Putting the disc in the drive.

When I move a person from Cautious to Annoyed, and start using more obnoxious tones with them, I know it's time to take a break from Civ.
