[Shameless advertising]Your widescreen TV is showing Venezuelan soaps while you play CIV?
Hook it up with your computer, turn on sound and change your background into forest webcam, eagle webcam or bird feeder webcam using direct stream.

Actually, an eagle is sharing carrion with couple of ravens right as I type this, but if no such luck, check out some earlier videos. [/shameless advertising]

Yeah, I guess that will teach me how NOT to try and be funny with fake HTML tags. .:shifty:
Anyway, both eagle cams and bird cam have no lighting and are thus pretty unimpressive during (local night). But I sure enjoyed the eagle one playing at background at work today. Best moment was a daring contest of few magpies: who can get closer to several young golden eagles. :)

Too dark to see anything now. :(

Reminds me of that African wateringhole streaming site. What ever happened to that?

Don't know about that :(
I think it would be cool, if people posted links to other interesting streams they know of. Last year, for instance, these same guys had a cam on nests of eagle and black stork. Maybe they will on this summer too.

So, what else interesting is being streamed for us? Nature would be best, but we aren't picky, are we?. :goodjob:

Direct stream from a grey seal rookery, currently bringing up their pups. One little guy, still in white fur, is crawling past the cam just as I type this :)

and click on "otsestriim" below the main pic.

EDIT: I guess the page will be available in English within a few days. From local forum:
Spoiler :
The Seal camera is a new project of Looduskalender and seal researchers.
Grey seal cam is located in Vilsandi Nature Reserves, on the western coast of Saaremaa, our biggest island.
In addition to seals we can see our old friends, crows, ravens, sea gulls and even White Tailed Eagles.
This is a Beta version- please be patient, there may occur some breaks.
The camera was placed on February the 10th, but because of the problems with wind generators, which did not give enough energy, we could not start earlier.
From yesterday we have solar panels helping us.
It is now reproduction season for Grey Seals. The pups have white baby coats, mothers (cows) with spotty coats are slightly smaller than males (bulls) with darker coats.
Grey Seals are rather active and loud and noisy.
We will introduce the life arrangements of big sea mammals soon.

The cam http://www.looduskalender.ee/en/node/2909 , which earlier showed feeding ground of golden eagles has been redirected at white-tailed eagle's nest. Owner is currently sitting next to it.

Spoiler :
Beginning March 5th, 2009, the life of a white-tailed eagle pair in their nest in the county of Läänemaa, Estonia, can be watched on the web. The camera was set in position already in January by Kotkaklubi (Eagle Club) and Looduskalender in co-operation, to avoid disturbing the birds in their home later, but setting up the radio transmission link took some time. EENet arrange the transmission of the image from the web camera, a Mobotix camera at the nest. The whole local system is supplied with energy from solar panels. and Televõrgud
