May I remind you that we are the clear winners on Philosophy race. Commercial trait and extra food from agricultural, others won't come even near.

Good idea. Do we win clear enough to go to republic? Or play safe and go MapMaking?
I would also like to research the wheel early on, but probably that's too much to ask.

Yes, I thought going directly to Philosophy. Otherwise we may miss it. Do we need a poll? The wheel or writing?

I looked at the save theCow is on BG. 3 shields instantly.

Obviously irrigate and road the cow first.

I like zyxy's initial build order.
Curragh on turn 5. Growth to size2. Warrior on turn 7, assign irrigated cow and forest tiles. Next settler. I leave details for tomorrow too tired atm.

I agree with irrigating the cow first. A nice suprise indeed to find out that the cow is on bonus grassland!! Nice.

I'll put up a poll on science.

It seems the wine resource is modded. It does not give a food bonus. Instead it gives +2 gold.
All other resources seem to be normal (if we can believe the civilopedia).

Meaning we should probably irrigate the wine (after doing the cow and perhaps the bg), not mine it.

My initial thoughts:

- Settler in place, worker to cow. (if it's on a BG)
- In future, we build a city NW-NW of the starting position, which will yield 5 food+, so our first two cities can pump out workers and settlers like there is no tomorrow.
- We start with Pottery. Maybe a granary really really really really early? The cow will provide lots of shields.
- Tech - we should go directly to Philosophy. We start with Alphabet and we ned to take advantage of that.

Well spotted !! :goodjob:
It's the only modification I did on the rules in the editor. My reasons for this will be clear later on in the game.

Shouldn't this information be told to the other teams? I didn't know that you did this.

Noooo........ let them discover it themselves. Otherwise, we'll sell this knowledge to them, perhaps....
