Tech Tree Art

and/or

Don't change the root/default one though of course.

probably DDS DXT3 explicit alpha, no mip maps and 0% on fade mip maps but thats just a guess.

Well thanks for jumping in anyway! :D

The problem was weird. Since I didn't know what sizes I could use for the files, I just approximated the size of the tech tree screen. The first several tries either gave me severely distorted images or complete lack of access to the tech tree screen and a screwed up interface. I just stumbled on a size that somehow works out, although it's a bit scrunched horizontally. I'll try playing with this again without mip maps (what the heck are they for anyway?). Where is the control of that 0% on fade?

it should be 1024x1024......

you might only see the control for 0% fade if your using photoshop, I'm not sure about other programs.

here's my view of the save screen using photoshop,

you can see all the controls you need are on the left

honestly, it might not even matter. Photoshop defaults to not even fade them, if you don't have a control, then it probably can't do it anyways, so no need to adjust it ;)

that is, unless you've already tried that and it still doesn't work.

about the two civlopediabg files, I have no idea, I just use the civilopediabg2-opaque.dds and it works. the other one exist in my folder structure, but it is just a 100% black image, the same size. maybe ask dutchking, he did it. Before that, when I did my own, I just copied what AsioAsioAsio did in the WW2 1939 mod, and put my images on top of his.
