Technology Trading in Conquests?

Hi there,

Putting aside the pros and cons of allowing technology trading, can someone tell me if there is a way to allow it in Civ 3 Conquests? I've tried to find a way to enable it through the Scenario Editor but didn't see a way to do it from there and haven't been able to google an answer on this either.

I think turning on/off technology trading is an option in Civ4 (BTS expansion)), but in Conquests you can always trade techs.

It should be enabled by default. However, if you're playing a mod, it may be turned off. You'll have to enable it for each individual technology in the editor. In the editor, under the Civilization Advance tab, there's a flag called "Cannot be Traded". Make sure this is not checked. Then you should have no trouble trading technology.

If you aren't playing a mod or the mod allows tech trading there, then I'm not sure what's happening . Maybe you're at the exact same technological level as the other civilizations you've met? Seems unlikely that that would keep on being the case but I don't know of any other possible explanation.

Perhaps as debugging option:

install CivassistII, press turn (civassist needs a savefile to work, best just to turn so it updates) and see what kind of techs your opponents have.

It will display if you have the tech and what other civs have it too. If you've been playing a while (say to 0 BC orso) there should be civ's that dont have all the techs.
