This my first time posting and I'm a relative newb at CivIII, I played civI and civII respectively though. I was just wondering how its possible to research all the trees before 2050? I mean when I am bored and feel like crushing 1 opponent in 1000 years (Could do it in 250 but it not very fun) I dont get very far in the tech tree because its just me and him..when I play huge maps (I have a game going in satyas world map with 14 other civs, its 2020 and we all just barely got the railroad..except germany which has 2 cities in africa because everyone smashes it, and for some reason he signs alliances against everyone..go figure. I am probably the 3rd most advanced in my game, I like to capture someones city and sell it to someone else for technology 
and I'm pretty close with everyone (scientifically, those stupid zulus have my best friends go to war with me for 1200 gold 
). Is there some tricks I'm missing or is it just I have to wait till after 2050 to get it because I want some nukes so I can see what it looks like and just make like 100 of them and launch at everyone for fun
