It is the only wonder (Except Aztec or other UB) that can increase the base production of food now, but the civilpedia and the game mechania say that in should increase the growth rate instead. It annoy me so much that after building or capturing this wonder, I must count the actual food production myself, not just simply looking at the window(which show the mistaken mechanic and so the number is inaccurate). Temple of Artemis has also become a very, very stong wonder instead of what it actually shoulde be.

No harm in having a very stong wonder.
If you think it is unbalanced just dont build it

Not the point, really. Its an information issue, not a balance issue that is being discussed.

For my own information, what does Temple of Artemis actually do? I was always going by the tooltip, and had no idea it was inaccurate.

The tooltip show that it increase the growth rate of food by 10%, for example, if you have 5 population and 12 food, it should add 12-5*2=2, 2*1.1=2.2 food per turn.

But actually, it add 10% food the city produce, so you have 12*1.1=13.2, 13.2-5*2=3.2 food per turn.

ToA is mislabeled in-game. Like Floating Gardens, its bonus applies to base food production, not growth (food surplus after feeding citizens).

Hell, there's still the suggested improvement tooltip that recommends building a road on a luxury to connect it to my trade network. That's been in the game since day one of development, when they copied the source code of civ4 into a new folder called civ5.

A separate but related question: How feasible is it to build the ToA on Immortal and Deity? Does it make sense to beeline for it, or will the AI almost always be able to get it first? I don't have the DLC to test it for myself...

I quite often get it on Immortal if I focus on it early, but as with any Wonder on those difficulties it's not worth going for unless you have a fairly good production start.

Its possible to get even on deity but you will have to sacrifice to get it.
