This is the Atlantean Temple of Poseidon Wonder requested by Madeira for his mod.
The architecture is inspired in part by that of ancient Mesoamerica.

Excellent! =]

This is not intended as a criticism, but just a comment. Considering that Poseidon is the Greek god of the Sea, and also interestingly enough controls earthquakes and is the patron of horses, should not the Temple have more of a Greek flavor? Against that, I can understand RedAlert trying to distinguish the Atlantean Civilization from the Greek. It is a very nice job, by the way. In particular, the choice of colors for the outside is quite good.

Hi Timerover51! This was a request of mine, just like the Atlantean cityset Red Alert did not long ago. Its for my mod and in my mod I placed Atlantis in the Caribean, part of the American culture group, so they share the city sets, meso american looking in the Ancient age, and evolving into what Atlantis might have been, with a mix of meso American and Greco-Roman. Also, in my mod I claim the Atlantis came from America, influencing the natives there, but also set up colonies in Europe, especially Crete (the Minoans were Atlantean colonists), so in turn, the Greeks (Myceneans) were influenced by them, both in architecture and religion.

I've thought of giving a different name for the Temple since Poseidon is a Greek God, but I have no clue what the Atlanteans might have called Poseidon :)

Basically my Atlanteans will be a native American civ much more developed than the Mayans or Inca were, they'll start the scenario in an advanced bronze age while the other native Americans will be early in the ancient age, but they will be able to evolve and follow Atlantis' footsteps, or not :)

Thanks everyone!

timerover51 - Thank you for your comment, the style for this wonder is based on Madeira's interpretation of Atlantean civilization, as he explains. :)
