uhmm... Donovan Zoi is still Mayor of Furuyama .....

Well, The City of Furyama thread hasn't been updated in forever and a day.

I'm here! You may not see me, but I'm here lurking almost every day.

Starting sometime in the Second TC, we would likely be able to construct Railroads.

Since the benefits of railroads are the same (instant transportation and +1 to Irrigation or Mines) whether the rail line is direct or serpentine, I would like you to ask your Mayors which tiles they would most like to be improved upon. Mined and Irrigated Tiles will be the only ones considered for these requests. (Doesn't mean I won't RR un"improved" tiles, but I would like to see your preferences.)

Cycv, the Mayor of Zojoji checking in and congratulating our new Governor, Blackheart of his successful run for the Office. If there's anything my Office can do for you this Term, be sure to let us know. :)

After reviewing the save, I've noticed that by changing the location of one of our Laborers we could improve the status of our city in one of two ways. If you look at the pic, you will see that by moving the Laborer working the irrigated fields NE of the city, to the coastal waters of Cyc Harbor, our gold intake will increase enough to spur our Science reseach. This would move Zojoji from 5th place in Science standings for Japanatica to 4th place. Or if we moved that same Laborer to the mined Grassland to the SE, we would increase our shield production up one. Both moves would cut back on our food production waste, but not hinder our growth. This because we are already at Size 12 and Sanitation is a long ways off.

Also, in response to a request from our Military Chief of Staff Provolution, I would like to request that a Frigate be built as soon as possible, to be followed at sometime soon by a Galleon. We will christen the Frigate the HMS Cyclone before it sails.

In response to President Sir Donald III's request for Mayoral input about railing, I imagine that Zojoji will be a main route, connecting Zarnia to the Kitakinu Province. Therefore, we should receive a fair amount of Railing by default. Above and beyond that, I would hope that our Hills will be railed to increase our mine output in the near future. Being a Coastal city should reduce the amount of Pollution that would need cleaning later. Of all the Hill tiles, I believe railing the Iron tile would be most benificial.

At any point of our gpt falls below zero, please switch cities to build luxury once the item they are working on is done until the gpt is positive or all cities are producing wealth (Do not use Furuyama for this). Discontinue this and return to normal ques when it is no longer needed.

As for railroads, connect the cities first so we can continuously move troops without stopping, then connect resources and high production areas, then everything else. I implore the DP to place priority for rails that lead to Zojoji, as this will reduce the time needed for finishing the wonder.

Governor, there has been a change of plans (tentatively) in regards to Zojoji's Laborer allocation and build queue. Cultural Minister MOTH is seeking input on the possibility of building Magellan's Expedition (a Wonder strongly supported by Minister Provolution) in our fine city. Moth has stted that he would like to see Zojoji get up to 27 spt in order to beat Joan in the race for completion. In the picture below, I have arranged the Laborers to produce the requested 27spt. With this Laborer configuration, Zojoji could produce the Forbidden Palace (200 shields) in 8 turns. Therfore, I'm thinking that Zojoji could produce the Magellan's Expedition Wonder (400 shields) in 16 turns. This is the turn/time frame that Minister MOTH is looking for in his analysis of the situation, so it looks like a GO if his calculations are correct. Also, the Laborer configuration on subtracts 1 fpt from the city, so 16 turns will not reduce the size of Zojoji, meaning the turns needed will not increase. If we do have coal available to us when we discover Steam Power, and have a couple of Workers standing by in the hills of Zojoji, rails could be built that would reduce the amount of turn needed to complete the Wonder.

Therefore, I am asking you to hold off on making my prior request concrete until we iron these possibilities out. Thank you for your time.

Yes! Another wonder for our glorious province. Minister MOTH has until whenever el presidente decides to start to decide where to build Magellan's. I will take the worker out of Zojoji's buildque to ensure it has sufficient production if work does begin.

Due to the overwhelming support for Magellan's in the culture poll, I have changed Zojoji's buildque and labor placement.

Gentlemen Governor Blackheart and Mayor Cyc

Excellent and flexible work in setting up the Magellan in zojoji :) I am proud of you.
I am still struggling on a more chaotic side of Japanatica, in the middle of a military reform that was punctuated by the Iroquois invasion and CTs handling of it.

Thank, unfortunately plans for expanding the navy in Zojoji will have to be put aside until Magellan's is finished.

Hopefully, the extra speed earnt from magellan, will already be earnt back within 16 turns of movement, so this is extremely good for both economy, strategy and the freedom of choice for our three naval military leaders (admirals)

Having noticed the President is roading a forest no city will use, ;) I thought it would be wise to post a picture of the recommended railways in our city. we definately need the wheat and hills railed. I also put a connecting rail to Invy's request. We should have some Workers within the Zojoji limits when Steam Power is discovered, so that railing a couple of mines will reduce the time needed for Magellan's Jellin' Expedition. :D

Lord Blackheart;

Please keep the budget in mind when considering building improvments and units. Much of our budget is dependent on foriegn nations. Also, more units under a 'free' government (if we revolt) would mean a much higher maintainence.
