Term 6 - Nominations

Just to make sure Pegster wouldn't be elected as CoIA I'll step in and ask you to run for CoIA Rik. ;)

Oh, and I'll nominate myself for JotC, so I can legalise any attempts you do to take over this game! :D
(Half of that was a joke, I am running for JotC!)

Besides, we all have Chieftess', Eyrei's and ThunderFalls' numbers.

Wow, I'm not the only one who wants to take over the game :p

I would run for CoIA but guess just starting to beat Emperor level is not quite good enough

I would mention however that PBEM's one turn at a time approach may allow people who lack the skills (discipline?) to MM each turn etc. to play at a much higher level, since there is no time pressure to finish some number of turns before bed. I play chess by mail at a much higher level than over the board for this reason.

Well, I seriously doubt that conclusion. If you play bad you play bad over board or over mail. other more skilled player in other teams also have an option to perfect their moves. So, overall, skill balance is the same. Micromanaging is not only the matter of time you want to devote to the game but also understanding of the game mechanics and experience of being in similar situations.

If you were right, more experienced and skilled players would be even with weaker players in PBEMs which is not the case.

I thank those that nominate me ,and appreciate that ,but at the moment i'm really to busy in real life (as you may have noticed at the few posting ive done the last weeks here) ,and am somewhat thrown back to occasional lurker status.I hope i can return later though as more active citizin ,however i'm always following this great game. :) ;)

I decline running for foreign affairs. Some things are just so much more important for me now.

Since there are so many retractions and declinations I won't do so, but I must point out that if I had any other opponent for ambassador of CDZ I'd retract my nomination to keep the honour to myself, after the debacle I just had.

If you really do not want to do it... I nominate myself for Ambassador to CDZ.

It's not that I don't want...
I don't deserve it!

I second Emp. Napoleon's nomination and retract my own.

I nominate myself for ambassadorship, CDZ . :D

I know how to act well in chat negotiations, and I have several people that chatted with me on in.game negotiations to vouch for me on that.
Besides, this is all about extracting information and providing the right information at the right time. I can do that.

I've had a small chat with Emp and we were both thinking the same. Rik as turnplayer and Emp as official President / Head of state.

My only reason for joining the CoIA election was to ensure the turnplayer is a good enough player. Since that is secured I can safely withdraw from the elections. I play the turns, while Emp is head of state.

I hereby withdraw my election-entry

Thank you again Rik for going into this with me. I am withdrawing from all elections with the exception of the Ambassadorship to C3B EDIT: And MoIA, of course . :p
