Polish prosecutors say they have foiled a planned terror attack against the president, cabinet ministers and MPs.

The man's motives were described however as "nationalistic, xenophobic and anti-Semitic" in character.

He is described by Polish officials as having been inspired by Anders Behring Breivik, who killed 77 people in Norway last year, most of them teenagers at a Labour Party youth camp.

So, a Breivik immitator it seems. Or is it a set-up by the police? He was an academic researcher, which is surprising I suppose.

Thoughts?

So do we need to start saying Poland is in Middle Eastern Europe now?

@WindFish: That makes no sense at all. Even compared to being a libertarian in general.

Well, if you don't want a government, then what is the Monarch supposed to do?

I am glad they caught him.

Re: Monarchist-Libertarian, that's not too bad. I've heard someone call himself a communistic libertarian before. :crazyeye:

Those actually exist.

Wiki says they do as another term for Anarchist Communism. (You learn something new everyday! :goodjob: )

A brief look through does make me wonder what exactly it has in common with modern (American) libertarianism however. I suppose it doesn't.

Libertarianism is merely the opposite of authoritarianism, not that one would immediately discern that listening to many Americans who belong to the Libertarian Party. And yes, that means it is identical to anarchism if taken to an extreme.

Poppycock ! In my solemn opinion :D (one and only :lol:) seems like Polish officials went over their heads in that one. Have they consulted Scotland Yard about this case ? What are the repercussions ? ... Thought so ;)

Blast.

Couldn't he blow up our Parliament with our Cabinet and our President? I am sure about 95% of the Czech population would thank him afterwards :lol:

Since the 1890s from France,[36] the term "libertarianism" has often been used as a synonym for anarchism[37] and was used almost exclusively in this sense until the 1950s in the United States;

Never understood why Poles are so worked up about that Smolensk plane crash. If Russian leadership suddenly decided to all gather on a board of one plane, went to Poland and fell down there, there would be street parties in Russia :rolleyes:

Yeah, we've seen the street parties Russian football fans like to have in Poland this year.
