TETurkhan Test of Time (Map & Mod)

Hey TET-

As always, I appreciate your work on this mod. Outstanding job so far, I look forward to 2.0.

A thought I had was having a two-oil requirement for some modern units to stress the importance of oil as a modern resource.

For example: Jet fighters, bombers, stealth fighers, stealth bombers, aircraft carriers should require 2 oil resources in addition to other costs.

Another example: aiports could have a two-oil requirement.

I have to say that I think this is a GREAT idea, it would add a new dimension to securing resources. :)

I had thought about this before but couldn't come up with a way of doing it. I wanted to increase the amount of oil needed based on the number of units using it. Such as 1 oil for the each 100 units (tanks, planes, ships). Would give resources a completely new meaning.

I'm sorry if this has already been covered, but I tried to search the forum for an answer but couldn't find it, sorry if it is there.

I have just tried this scenario for the first time and noticed that Tibet often builds the Oracle very quickly. I decided to play them and found that they can build leaders in one turn, from the start of the game. I downloaded the 1.65 and 1.70 versions and it still happened. Obviously, it gives them a huge advantage. Is this a bug or is the Dhali Lama that powerful?

This is the first I heard of this - has this occured to anyone else?

Double Oil Resource: I actually tried this and found that it did not work - has it worked for anyone else? otherwise its definately a great idea and would add depth to resources.

Hehe this happened to me once playing as the Cambodians (??), I suddenly realised that I could build Great Leaders! In 1 Turn! This was great fun, and I thouroughly enjoyed rushing every wonder and improvement in the game.

Bug though... Would make a great fun version of the game though.

I have a Tibetan game running and I can't build leaders at all. Are you doing the Just Mod, because maybe its a bug for that.

My goal is to take over the world as Tibet.

I was playing the test of time game with starting positions only. I have restarted the game and still get the option for 1-turn leaders, but only with Tibet..

I looked into it and couldn't find anything...
I noticed one of you mentioned the problem is only in the "just start positions" version. This is an older version, the new BIX files actually have new names. Remember that when the latest installed version you will have to erase the old BIX files that came with the CD.

Let me know if this is the problem.

Hey TET, any rough estimate of when version 2.0 will be ready. A matter of days, weeks, or months?? Just anything to wet our appetites a little. :)

Hello.

That is a great job. Lot of new unit can choose. That is really good.

But anyone try to upload the unit and get error ..... The game will shut down?

Thx

I just started my first game with Tibet; the warrior monks are awesome, and all those mountains make it a challenge. One comment though is that some civs (especially Tibet and Cambodia) are a little weak on the amount of city names. I added some onto both of those before I started playing so I hopefully won't end up with Lhasa 3 or Phnom Pehn 5.

Hey TET. Buddy, Pal. What's the holdup on the 2.0 ?

Can you provide us to a guess at least when it could be released?
Can you say how much is left to do?

Is there something we can do to help ? I don't think you have a shortage of testers ?

Hey TET, um, probably a question that's been answered before, but when I install this thing, it comes up with missing file errors all over the place????????

Did you download the right one, and, if so, did you remember to delete the older scenarios and other files?
