So far I can tell, there are following text troubles with the mod:

1) The Muscovite capital should really be Moskva (Moscow, Moskau, Moscou etc), not Pavlovo, of course.
2) The names of the great people are sometimes misspelt. That is:
"Abd Allah Ibn Sena" should be "Abd Allah Ibn Sina"
"Gisbertus Voetis" should be "Gisbertus Voetius"
"St. Thomas Beckett" should be "St. Thomas Becket"
"Uriel Da Costa" should be "Uriel da Costa"

(GERMAN) "Naum von Preslav" should be "Naum von Preslaw"
"Abu Ibn Tufail" should be "Ibn Tufail" or "Abu Bakr ibn Tufail", but the first is preferable. (To tell the truth, "Abu" is almost never a name, but a part of a name meaning "Father of". One can't be called simply Abu.)
"Miguel De Cervantes" should be "Miguel de Cervantes"
"Gustave Vigeland" should be "Gustav Vigeland" (Though I doubt a 20th century Norwegian sculptor should be present in this mod)
"Jacobo Tintoretto" should be "Tintoretto" or "Jacopo Tintoretto", but the first is preferable.
"Michaelangelo" should be "Michelangelo"
"Zaman Al Hamadhani" should be "Zaman al-Hamadhani"

"Ivanko of Preslav" not sure whether he existed
"Ahmad Al Tifashi" should be "Ahmad al-Tifashi"
"Torquemada" better should be given a first name
"Sinbaldo Fieschi" should be "Sinibaldo Fieschi"

Besides, I really doubt Louis Pasteur, Michael Faraday, Andrey Damyanov, Mehmet Asif Ersoy (who really is "Akif", not "Asif"), Kolyu Ficheto, Imre Steindl, Sven Hedin and, of course, Aydin Dogan, Ivar Giaver and Giacomo Leone (who are still alive!) should at all be present, as they lived a bit later
I am also not sure that rulers like Philip the Good of Burgundy and Ivan Asen should appear as great persons
3) To be continued. But in the Muscovite preface "the shadow of the Mongol Golden" must read "the shadow of the Mongol Golden Horde".

1.
We are in great need for a russian civver in RFCE, who is willing to update the Musconvian and Kievan city name maps.
I guess you are Russian, do you have some time to help in them?

2.
Thanks, unfortunately the great person lists are very inaccurate - even if we had a couple small improvements during the last year
The good news is, we already started compelling new, civ-specific lists
It would be more than welcomed if you could help in them...
Here is the thread

3.
It's already that way in the 1.01 version

+1
Btw, none of the modders can speak or even read Russian, so we can't really keep up with the Russian texts.
It's a remaining thing from the early versions of the mod - AFAIK at that time there was strong connection to the russian civfanatic site, and there were updates reasonably often
ATM it's more of a bargain as an advantage, because the texts are very outdated, thus can't be used even by the Russians.
Also somehow using a russian text coding in CivIV prevents the use of the unique characters of the ASCII coding - such as áéőüߣ
IMO the city name maps would be much better with those characters. Norse, German, Polish, Hungarian, etc - would greatly add to the flavour of the mod

I can somewhat read Russian and very roughly understand it but that's about all I can help with.

Yes, I am Russian. Of course, I will gladly help you with the text part, if you like. Definitely, city names need much correction. Besides, it it possible to have a dynamic naming system depending on when the city is found. Say, names Sankt-Petersburg or Yekaterinoslav look somewhat strange in the early period. But later in the game they are alright.

I can also think of some East European Wonders, if you like.

Sounds great!
Could you look into the city name maps as well?
It's rather easy with Caliom's latest WB tools
Go into World Builder, select the signs option in the top left
And you can switch to city name mode there, selecting the civ by selecting the leader
You have to save the map in the World Builder after you finished, and you will get a "yoursavename".py file in the folder where you saved it
That's what I need to merge into the mod, so upload it here

On the other hand, unfortunately there is no dynamic naming system for city names
So we can live with Sankt-Petersburg and other modern cities if the human choose the found them early
The AI tends to found those fairly late

Okay. I am a newcomer and don't have many ideas of where to find what. Where can I find the city name map and Caliom's tools?

Inside the game, it's incorporated in the current version of RFCE
You just have to go into WorldBuilder mode

@al Iskandari:
Do you still plan to work on the russian names, and the russian city name maps?
