The 1421 Theory

Necrobump alert!

Yes people, the saga continues....

This week's Economist has printed an article about a new discovery (a 1763 copy of a map from 1418) which seemingly supports Menzies' claims. Funny thing for all those who are sceptical (and do please read the article carefully) is that the experts are not discounting this recent evidence. February is the month in which the results come out.

That final phrase, what is supposed to mean?

Interesting news. I will stay tuned. I hope all you Brits show up for the unveiling in England to get a look see.

your cleaned up version of the old map in post 15 isn't exact in the origanal land connected what apears to be south america to what appears to be the yucatan looks like to me sombody redid the map changing it a hoping no one would look at the old map when they had the new one

IronMan: El_Tigre is right. You'll note that I'm not in this thread to defend Menzies. He lost my trust halfway through the book. My previous posts are simply to test the critics more and to play devil's advocate. It is however quite interesting to see the recent development of this story.

I think the map will turn out to be fake, but will wait and see. It is easier to fake a 1763 map than one from 1418. The necessary raw material are easier to find.
