The 3D modelling thread

Some more things, and most importantly the full terrain of the Theodosian wall :)

What Orcs are those? Warhammer?

Oooh! Those look like the towers in WarCraft II. I need to get that game…

Warcraft II? Don't you already have it? :)

Here is what the orc set looks like at the moment:

I am not sure if all buidlings fit. Most of them were modelled after the Age of Wonders orcs. The rest used concept art from Warcraft. So it is an amalgam...

Nice. ETA on release?

....I guess I should hang up my gloves and sword then :(.
I take it you like them, then? :mischief:

Take a wild guess what inspired this:

I had to redo this from scratch after something fudged up in the LUA scripting and I couldn't use tools.
I might make a series out of this.

Lessee:
- Soldier front and centre charging the camera;
- Squadmates to the side;
- Helicopter-like aircraft over shoulder;
I think I've got a cash cow!

Very nice Kyriakos :)

Hi, I'm looking for software to model a computer case that I have and then to scale it up.
The case in question is the iMac G3

I need to have some way to change the screen aspect ratio to 16:10 or 16:9 from 4:3 though

If you just want to scale something it is not needed to model it first (i trust you do not have modeling experience, so it would take time to learn) you simply need a decent photo-manipulation program. Sure the image will look a bit distorted, but it beats learning to model just so that you can make one item.
All that in case you were being serious, of course, of which i am not sure..

The problem is I need to render the entire case

Bryce 7 is for free, the version called "Personal learning edition". At least it used to be some months ago, you could look that up.
Bryce is a very intuitive and relatively easy to learn 3d modeler.

I am looking for a free 3d Astronaut model similar to this.. (Not the Apollo suit)

I am trying to make this a suit for Fallout 3 and thought on a whim that maybe someone here has a good model they could give me.. I found one, but it had too many vertices. Help would be greatly appreciated!

I could make you a model for hits if you're interested. Not immediatel, but not that slow anyway.
