I didn't normal-build any of my units, EVERY single one of them was whipped.

I did whip, but I ran into happiness problems (and Mr Saladin's Archers caused some grief). Also, what's Saladin's unitprob? Because I'm sure I wasn't meant to be fighting past stacks of ten or twelve Axes and Spears.

You can take the first three cities with just the camel archer and 2-3 archers at the start.

Also, don't worry about happyness... the only improvements you should have are the food ones and a mine on the iron. Work the food, by the end of my game none of my cities were happy or growing at size 1.
