Hi,
I've searched the internet (including this forum) thoroughly for the following problem with Civ4, but I seem to be the only one:
I installed the game on my AMD64 3200, 1GB, Radeon x600, SB Audigy 2, running on WXP-Pro. Everything went OK, until I wanted to start the game, when the attached popup popped up, saying:
"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005) Click on OK to terminate the application."
I checked for virusses, adware, registry keys, deinstalled Civ, and uninstalled and reinstalled my videodrivers (since Civ wasn't build for ATI cards apparently
), but I still get the same pop-up.
Can anybody help me with more suggestions for me to get the program running?
Thanks a lot.
Chris
PS is it normal for modern games to have this many problems with getting started? There are so many complaints
!!!
