I was wondering who people thought was the best leader and why?
I am trying to figure out who to play as.:crazyeye:

Well, right now I would go with the Incans. The actual leader has next to no appeal when compared to Caesar, Genghis and the like but the traits work well together.

Kublai is always nice :}

Early game gunning military, doesn't mean your cities will have no culture, also the units won't suck "out-of-the-box"

Caesar. Praetorians are ridiculously overpowered. I have yet to lose a non-Deity game playing him.

Hello have you won a standard map with 7 civs on Immortal ?? (I always ask this, as this is the default, and to me it makes no sense winning on anything less)

I voted for Caeser for those incredible Praetorians, and Qin, for having a good UU, that doesn't come too late to not be able to make a difference, as well as being financial

I like Caesar. The extra health from Expansionist is very useful on the higher levels and the Organized trait is good when taking over a lot of cities early, as one does when one has Praetorians.

I thought Bismark was great. Expansionist and Industrial is always nice. I didn't know Ceasar was over-powered? Don't military leaders only get a cheaper barracks and a simple promotion on specific units? BTW If you are getting a free promotion, what is the point of building a barracks anyway.

1. Expansionist and industrial is never nice. It's probably the worst trait combo in the entire game. One is only good at low difficulty levels, and the other is only good at very high difficulty levels, so there's no situation where both can be good.
2. Caesar is not aggressive. But his UU is overpowered.
3. So you can get 2 promotions, and a 3rd one after a single successful combat!

i had to put both gandhi and qin shi huang in because they're both unbelievable. gandhi really benefits from the fast worker trait and qin has an incredible trait combo in ind-fin.

Depends on the victory type you are going after.

Military - Caesar (Rome)
Culture - Catherine (Russia)

Honorable mentions to Huyna Capac (Inca) for military, Qin Shi Huang (China) for culture.

Least favorite leader: Isabella! What were they thinking?!

Twice with Caesar. I've won with other leaders as well, but not as consistently. I always play standard map with seven civs. Larger maps takes too long, smaller are unbalanced and I'm way too lazy to change the number of civs. I usually just play games with continents, standard size, immortal and random leader.
