Deconstructed
Although I think most of the Conquests suck, I'd like to congratulate the makers for making "Malcolm" the leader of the Celts in the medieval conquest. Malcolm II was the greatest Celtic leader of the middle ages, but he is extremely obscure in popular history. All credit where its due
Malcolm III was also a decent king...but I doubt they meant him. The long term effects of Malcolm III (Canmore) and his Anglo-Hungarian wife's reign (St Margaret) were disasterous for the Celticness of Scotland.
Otherwise, they might have done a better city list for these Celts. Their list is exactly the same as the default one, which means that the medieval celts will construct ancient French archaeological sites and continental Roman cities.
They did do a new leader list though
Objectively, they probably made the right decision to group all the Celts together and gripple them...that, though, doesn't stop me disliking this aspect.
One other comment, they should have put another Celtic city in Scotland, to the north, and the should have given town names rather than region names to Dalriada (Dunadd), Strathclyde (Dumbarton) and Cornwall (Truro? Tintagel?). A glance at any medieval history atlas would have made this simple enough!
Anyhoo...your thoughts...
