I actually know for sure that I'm expansionist. Nearly all my gameplay is concentrated on me garnering vast amount of land and resources through any means possible. With that in mind, I become more mindful of balance in the game such as having adequate military, grand culture, lots of money, and careful diplomacy that will not jeopardize the territorial integrity of my civ. I show great concern when the demographics doesn't show me as having the largest land area. A large territory insures that I get the resources I need and use them as bargaining chips. Without such advantage, then the game becomes frustrating for me for kissing a lot of AI ass for a half-decent deal. If I ever play you in MP, you'll know my weak spot and it's in the early part of the game when I'm unleasing unescorted settlers all over the place. Anyone with half-a-brain, which the AI doesn't have, can pick off my cities like that in the ancient age.
I think if I can pick a civ that matches my gameplay, it would be, without a doubt, American. I dont even use them often (Japan is my fave). However, my drive for land and democracy mirrors the actual trait of that civ. So too is the fact that I don't initiate conflicts til well on to the Modern Age, and my most common way of winning the game is through the space race.
