El Caballerion
King
Well, at least the American music is. I haven't yet played as any other CIV.
But seriously, it's really great. I couldn't believe how they slipped in Mahler's ADAGIETTO (5th symphony)! As soon as I heard it, my heart sank (Mahler wrote it for the love of his wife, Alma). It kinda made me fall head over heels for CIV V, mainly for those little moments that have sucked me into previous CIV games due to their sheer realism.
I did notice Dvorak's NEW WORLD SYMPHONY, but then again, everyone kinda knows that piece. Beethoven's EMPEROR PIANO CONCERTO was a nice touch too. The only downside I guess is that all of these composers are GERMAN, and not American, but then again, if we only used American composers, then our options are limited to George Gershwin and Philip Glass. Jazzy minimalism, anyone?
