We lost control of a gems deposit during the last round because of the expansion of Greek boundaries near Txacala (sp?). What plan might help us gain it back? Txcala is just over the 100 expansion limit & won't be expanding until it hits 1000.

As a result, our citizens are without gems until we stop trading them away to Inida.

Chief, if we overcome their culture, we will regain the tiles whether we expand or not, so we must try to allocate funds to the rushing of a University, but we have not those funds, but when we overcome their culture, I'm more than certain we regain those tiles.

Oh yes, we shall know if that's possible very quickly, it will be most nice to find if the answer is yes, but it is probably no.

100,000 culture points in 1985, culture win never, 1 city win never yet

How much more Culture rushing are you planning. Cause I feel I need more money to update our Military, we've got 27 pikemen in the era of Cavalry for goodness sake.

Hard to say, as much as is neccesary, when Forbidden palace comes this should decrease since the places can build it on their own, but if you declare war and take more cities then we shall have more culture rushing. Also, when Wall Street, Smiths, and Forbidden palace come there will be a lot of gold, so do not worry, we shall build factories to build new military.

Plus, many banks shall come, making even more money, we shall not be in want for long.

This is a reminder too all cabinet members and governers to post their turn chat instructions here for tonight's turn chat, if you haven't done so already.

Sorry everyone, this course has been taking way too much time these first few days, especially tonight, I have a presentation due tomorrow (that I should be working on now). I should have some more time again tomorrow or Friday. A couple of quick comments - Cultural Assault Program should be ok to continue building at the cities own pace for now, the main improvments are in place (library/temple) in the southern border cities, and they can build univ. as their production permits, while still generating culture. The only rush I would call urgent is the Library at Chondote, since it has NO culture, we don't want it to flip back. Tlaxcala would be next, but probably too expensive to rush right now, especially in our finanacial situation, maybe next chat.

(BTW, I know that there is a chat tonight, I hope it is going well, but I don't have my laptop set up for MIRC, and can't really download it now. Hopefullly, I will be set up by this weekend).

PB and I've done well, we've rushed that library already (I believe so) turn to finish, I'd be happy to do another summary in your stead, gold little tight with military consuming gobs but we'll get a bit now and then. Overall pretty good Hierarch Justus.

Here's the report Lib=Libary Temp=Temple Uni=university Cath=Cathedral. I'd like to say that we know have a library in every last city, so we have a source of books everywhere.

Justus or PB, do to the fact that we have a library in every city I believe that we should know finish up and add a temple to every last one, also, although we will have 100,000 culture points in the late 1900's, we shan't win a cultural victory because we wouldn't fulfill the requirement of having more than double of all elses, thus we need a lot of cultural improvements. Universities cost 396 after 1 sheild has been built, so we must wait for a long time before we can rush these due to the fact that our budget shan't be able to allow it. We are facing a dilema and I regret to say that a cultural victory shall more than likely be impossible, and we must find another way, or we put this forward to the citizens and we might be able to approve of a way to find the adequate cultural improvements and budget.

Mr. Pb, while Justus is away (I've no idea when he returns) may i continue to do those reports, I thouroughly enjoy them and would be overjoyed to continue them, what say you?

2 suggestions for the Culture Dept. Just trying to help a little :)

- Rush money needs to be approved by the Domestic dept. so make any specific requests in the budget thread well before turn time so they can be seen. Specific requests are better than suggestions and might be better targetted at governors. If approved, the governors can just put them in their instructions queues, saving you some work.

- use the CODE tag in your tables so that they are more readable. It changes your text to an "even-spacing" font (forget what it is called). Here's an example. To see the code at work, hit the "quote" response button on my post. I find it best to write out a table using notepad and then paste it into my replies. After that, add the text formatting (bold, italics...) cause it doesn't affect the spacing. Good luck.
Code:
 [B]City Cult Per Build C Build C Build C Build C[/B]
[I]Fox Nest[/I] 3813 42 Lib 528 Temp 618 Cath 216 Uni 180
