So I have olmost all DLC's except the korea DLC

I was wondering if korea DLC and some other DLC's (for example denmark i have them) will be part of the expansion or you still have to buy them anyone know this?

There's been no hint that they're included. You would think they'd be listed as part of the total number of new civs in order to boost their count and they haven't done that.

I doubt that, it'd be a very weak way to create marketing. My bet is DLC civs will not be included in the expansion, and that's only fair.

The total amount of civs is really getting high with this expansion. Still I hope they will eventually do something to increase the amount of flavour per civ instead of creating even more new ones after the expansion.

I'm pretty sure you can play them with the expansion pack my question is if you get them for free in the expansion or still have to buy them
You probably have to buy them (why didn't you already? :p ), 5 of the 9 civs in the expansion pack are known, which only leaves 4. And there are already 6 (7 if you count the Mongols) DLC civs, so that's not 'going to fit'.

Also it'd be very stupid for them, both marketing-wise as well as goodwill-wise.
It'll upset the community and probably kill all the sales of future DLC as everyone will be expecting them to come in the next expansion.

You might have the luck that they'll make a 'DLC-Pack' when the expansion arrives, but I wouldn't count on it.
Good news though, is that the expansion pack and the summer sales are around the same time, so you can probably get them at 50% or 66% off :)

Until we receive any further information, my money'd be on the idea that DLC will remain the same way it was. The price is only 30 USD, remember? And it's a cheap marketing strategy, their PR would dip, and they know it.

Where did the Mongols DLC come from? I don't see it on the Steam website or within the info for Gods and Kings. Thanks!

It should be automatic if your computer is connected to the internet and you log into steam.

Anyway, I can't tell from the files and I'm not about to load up the game, so I don't know if Gandhi was changed. I think he was, though (name, not art). China does not appear to be in the New Worlds scenario, unless the files are incorrect.

You are right about that. I wonder if they will release any more Civ DLC after this. With 18 base, 7 DLC, and 9 G&K, that is 34 Civ's in all. Oh, for me, there is plenty room for more (the more the merrier in my eyes). Firaxis has traditionally been a little more conservative when it comes to that. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't 34 close to the max that any Civ game has had (officially... not counting mods)?

I don't know. Just had a look at Civ 4 and that had 34 in total:
Vanilla: 18 civs
Warlords: 6 civs
BTS: 10 civs

Edit:
civ 1: 16
Civ 2: 21
civ 3: 31 in total

I'm thinking its possible there may be some Gods & Kings + one or more DLC combo, priced more than Gods & Kings by itself but less than separably.

Maybe Babylon if that's the DLC civ that's never been in any combo?

As to # of civs:
Civ II had color hard coding in the game; one color reserved for barbarians, and the other seven mapped to three civs each. With restriction that civs of the same color couldn't be in the same game.

The color hard coding was eliminated for Civ III, but there was a hard limit of 32 including the barbarians so Austria was merely on the Conquests CD as a bonus civ.

There's no known limits for Civ IV & V; they can add as many civs as they like, those not wanting a given civ as DLC won't buy it.

i think at best the DLC's might be packaged either at a discount through steam or on a 4-day long weekend-only kind of freebie and i dont think it will ever be all of them. the only one i dont own is polynesia and denmark. they might do an even larger GOTY version with them but the expansion would still be a separate purchase.

I'd be more interested if they rebalance the DLC-scenarios. the new combat system will have a big impact and some patch changes to happiness have made the Mongol scenario for example play completely different.

I guess not, since it's quite a big amount of work for not much return...

I'm still hoping that the expansion after G&K (if there will be one) will not add even more civs, but give every civ an extra UU, UI or UB (preferably one that doesn't replace existing units/buildings).

The variety of civs is great, don't get me wrong. But even more new civs isn't going to create as much variety as expanding the civs we already have.

I guess they`ll make an expansion without the DLC`s and "CIV V premium package" at a higher cost wich includes all DLC`s.

At least I hope they do as I`m not in the habit of buying online game content, I`m sure that applies to other potential customers as well.....
