Who do you think is the best candidate to become the "Fourth Reich"?

First Reich: Caesar's Roman Empire
Second Reich: Otto von Bismarck's Ottoman Empire
Third Reich: Hitler's German Empire

So who'd the fourth be?

I personally think it's going to be communist China.

The roman empire wasn't the first reich.it was the Holy Roman Empire. (big diference)

And wich country it would be ,well ,Germany afcourse! That term only applies to the Germans. If it was China it would have maybe been their 10th reich.

"Second Reich: Otto von Bismarck's Ottoman Empire"

The best joke I have heard all day. BTW, there's a thread on the real Ottoman Turks in the World History forum.

No, thank you rmsharpe. I had enough with the 3rd reich... I REALLY don't think we need another one...

All reichs are german empire.
Even I, 14 year old kid, knew this right.
(Now it's time to bang your head to the table loud)

The germany's 4th reich will be when they 'unite' the EU,
'because of demands of fellow nations'.

(Dont take it seriosly :) )

"First Reich: Caesar's Roman Empire
Second Reich: Otto von Bismarck's Ottoman Empire"

Hey rmsharpe, you're from Minnesota, so you're not supposed to make mistakes like that (with one of the best education systems in the country, where everyone's "above average")
;)

Actually, where in "God's country" are you from? I live in Minneapolis, but grew up in Forest Lake....

So far you've called half the countries in the world "facist". Will you please tell us how do you define "facism"?

I'm a history nerd, and in being so, I know my history well...I just thought it would be funny to post it (Otto von Bismarck's Ottoman Empire? Come on...)

I guess some of you don't like my sense of humor :D :egypt: :D

G-Man:
A fascist government is lead by a politician who has obviously cheated with the votes to get elected, and then spends much of his time in power in oppressing the people by racial discrimination, militarisation of the policeforce and the use of unnecessary violence. Like for example: Genua 2001 where one man got killed in a demonstration, and everyone in a democracy has a right to demonstrate, don't they?

I agree that in the G8 the police used too much power - but so did the demonstraters. And can you proove that this guy cheated in an election? Remember that in a democracy a man is innocent unless proved guilty.

Fascism needs also lottsa racism.
And what comes to dead man, he deserved to die.
He, as an invididual, used violence, and only fascist would allow that.

EDIT/PS: There are also lottsa people bored of this kind of discussion.
Please eradicate it to PM/different topic. Thank You.

It seems that a lot of youngsters do not have an understanding of what fascism actually is, and bandy the term about in every second sentence "Bloody fascist principal" "Bloody fascist bus driver"
Go learn something about what fascism was historically, and then use it properly. In short, use more imaginative and accurate terms of abuse.

As for that silly individual who got himself shot in Genoa, maybe the policeman who was just doing his job stopping a group of misguided hooligans rioting for its own sake and trashing a city should have just let this brave balaclave clad youth throw that large projectile at him, instead of using his weapon in what anyone who knows what they are talking about would agree was self defence.
If you play with the big boys in the game of violence, know the risks, and don't be suprised if you get hurt. The right to demonstrate is one thing; the right to obstruct, riot, attack public officials, and destroy property is another, which is not enshrined in any laws.

Italy and Austria do not have fascist governments. Your facts are about 62 years old:p

And you say that's facism beacuse of...

:goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob:
Now anyone should not have any questions about this.

PS: Miko, you're making fool of yourself. Buahuahuahua!
Fascism is a combination of Fanaticsm & Racism & Dictatorship.
I'm not sure of this, but I'm sure of it, that Schröder is NOT a fascist.
If strict immigration policy would be fascism, then... god.
